This tool will totaly mess up your settings e.g. will completely wipe out your home default pages. It might work for some people but it certainly did'nt for me. I foolishly ignored warnings from my Anti Virus programme 'Eset NOD'. [that will teach me] After some difficulties, I finally managed to delete it from my progrm list and had to use 'SYSTEM RESTORE' to repair my computer.

I added this to my google home page - for quick reference. It worked yesterday. Today I input a french word for translation then selected French on the pull down menu - and it gave me the answer in what appears to be Chinese script. Clearly a setting has slipped but I can't see where to set the output language. Not a time saver after all.

Babylon is a very well known translator. It works wonderfully. If you want it to translate full expressions, install the desktop version and download specific dictionaries, according to your needs. You have to buy it, but it is worth it. However, the iGoogle tool is free and works great for quick ups... Try it and you will love it!

I tried to look up a simple phrase and it came back and told me it couldn't find the phrase. The phrase was simply Feliz Viernes (Happy Friday).
