Compliance Assistant - Sao Paulo

The role: Compliance Assistant
The Compliance Assistant perform a variety of critical support and administrative tasks. Compliance Assistants are self-confident, detail-oriented and patient individuals with a thirst for knowledge and an ability to manage large workloads. You'll be working in a diverse environment where an eagerness to participate collaboratively on wide-ranging legal issues on a global basis is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Review and index subpoenas and other legal documents, and prepare legal materials for outside delivery.
- Update and maintain internal databases and file systems.
- Perform a full range of administrative tasks and correspondence, which may include calendar management, coordinating meetings and events, and interacting with high-level executives in a professional and effective manner.
- Facilitate communication of process and policy to internal and external clients.
- Handle highly sensitive, confidential and non-routine information.
Requirements:
- University degree required, postgraduation preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong desire to review legal documents and support a multitude of legal matters.
- Experience in using technology and the Internet to improve work efficiency; ability to identify process improvements in order to streamline recurring review processes.
- Must possess fluent verbal and written language skills in both Portuguese and English.
- Willingness to work with sensitive issues, including but not limited to: Adult content; religious and philosophically sensitive issues; alcohol, tobacco, weapons and other potentially offensive products.
