"Darth Maul: Apprentice – A Star Wars Film" was written, directed, and edited by Shawn Bu, while Vi-Dan Tran worked on the impressive choreography. "We worked incredibly hard on this film for almost two years," read a statement attached to the film. "We always felt that Darth Maul should have had more screen time. So we wanted to create a film just for him with the best lightsaber fights we could do!" Watch the fan film above and the equally impressive making-of video below. Star Wars: The Force Awakens: A collection of cameos and Easter eggs Ben Schamma portrays the Sith apprentice in the project, paying tribute to the character who was slain by Obi-wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace. Ray Park portrayed the original character in George Lucas' film, while Peter Serafinowicz lent his voice.
