Such a cool shop with tons of board games to play! We met up with friends here on a Monday night but the place was still bustling. It was $3 per person per hour, which isn't too bad. However they don't validate parking which is unfortunate.
We called ahead of time and they allowed for dogs! Our dog is small so we had him on our lap the whole time.
Also this place charges extra for outside food and drink but it doesn't apply to the food and drinks they have there. They don't upcharge so you can just buy snacks there instead.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 21, 2023
This place is super cool!
Located in Anaheim GardenWalk on the 2nd floor, Meeples is a board game cafe with probably HUNDREDS of different board games. Entry to the cafe to look around is free, but if you want to actually play games it is $3/hr/person. We came on a Monday evening and there were was only one other group, but I'm sure it gets crowded on the weekends and you can make a reservation online.
They have "private tents" where your group can hang out and play games. The employees were really friendly recommending games for our large group of 7.
You can bring outside food/drinks but there will be an added fee ($3/person for food and $1/person for drinks).
They are also pet friendly! We brought our little dog in a carrier.
Parking is $4/hr at the GardenWalk garage (first hour is free). Meeples does not validate parking.
I would recommend this place if you are looking for something unique and fun to do with a group of friends. It is very homey and cozy. Also close to Disney!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Francis D.Berkeley, CA1273336Mar 29, 2024
Everything about this place is so magical and wonderful! The staff is a dream team and they're all so kind and amazing. I play here every Thursday and I find myself coming in on other days and introducing this place to my friends. What a great way to break away from Disneyland. Also just a great and phenomenal place to be it and try board games too. The merchandise is a great sort too. Don't sleep on this place. It's incredible.

Love this place! It's a great place to hang out with friends. They have SO MANY board games to choose from for only $3/hr/person. You play first and then they charge you at the end. They have small tents to separate groups.

Friendly owner. Clean. Cute store. Lots of gaming tables. Great lighting in the tent that we sat for games. No glare. There were string lights inside the tent. Good temperature inside too. Would definitely come back. They have drinks you can buy there. Very affordable. A huge library of games!

They have a huuuge array of board games in a open mall area where there are plenty of places to eat or grab a drink after! Been here for a couple birthday parties already, and with their library of board games, you'll never get bored!
The tables are sectioned off by tents where you pay per person per hour. It almost reminds me of a cramped campground full of parties of people in their own tents. Peak hours can get very lively, but I have never had a noise problem. It's a reasonable price, and the employees even allowed us to stay past closing time to finish our last game! Would recommend, especially if you are planning a large gathering of game board enthusiasts and need the room!
Not much to say other than a fun spot to play tons of board games with friends : ))Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 17, 2023
This was such a fun place to try new board games! They have so many to choose from.
The games are all organized by type of game, some are puzzle, strategy, family, etc and from there you can pick a few games and bring them to a tent and play with a group.
Definitely recommend for a good and cheap indoor activity.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 20457309May 20, 2023
Perfect spot for a group game night or for a date!
Price is really reasonable (3/person/hour) and you can bring food for a fee (3/person 1/person for drinks). You have to pay for parking at the Gardenwalk structure so I recommend carpooling. The store is beautiful and cozy inside with lots of snacks and gift options. Very large bird game selection with many specialty games. Staff is helpful with game recommendations and you can make reservations online (it gets pretty packed on weekend nights). We also called and they said we could bring our dog in a stroller (would only recommend with well behaved dogs because it can get loud)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 9, 2023
What a surprise. After a movie at AMC we went walking around the GardenWalk and found this gem. PERFECT DATE NIGHT PLACE! Perfect group outting idea. I like the intimate setting in each tent.

This is a great place to try out new board games with friends! They also allow food and drinks which makes it feel just like any other boardgame session I have at someone's house. They have games of all sorts of genres. I love that they made labels for the games to tell you the amount of players, the difficulty level, and about how long it takes.
If no one in your group likes to read the rules and explain to everyone else, then like me, Youtube is your friend! There are many How To Play explanations available on youtube which helped us breeze through more games.
The games were kept in good condition and clean. They had wipes in our tent for us to sanitize the table and whatever else we needed. The table was nice and big, but the chairs in our tent wasn't very comfortable to sit in.
Overall, I'm glad a place like this exists. They have convenient parking in the gardenwalk and it is out of the sun.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
