Leonardo DiCaprio Reveals the One Thing He Wants to Do Before Turning 50 Next Year (Exclusive)

PEOPLE has a special sneak peek at the actor's sit-down with 'Good Morning America,' airing Tuesday

Leonardo DiCaprio has big plans for the next year.

In an interview with ABC News' Chris Connelly airing on Tuesday's Good Morning America, the actor — who turned 49 on Nov. 11 — opened up about making his latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon, in a conversation alongside his costar Lily Gladstone. But it was another film that was on his mind when Connelly asked the Oscar winner about his goals before hitting his milestone birthday.

PEOPLE has an exclusive sneak peak of the chat, in which Connelly, 66, questioned DiCaprio about what he wants to accomplish before turning 50 next year.

"You know what? Just one more movie," said DiCaprio, hinting that he hopes to get back in front of the camera for another role. "One more movie."

Prior to the question, Connelly and DiCaprio reflected on how quickly the years have gone by. "You're 49 years old. How the hell did that happen?" teased Connelly, who had often interviewed DiCaprio during his 13-year reign covering movies for MTV News.

"I have no idea," DiCaprio said in response, recalling, "We were talking about our first interview, that may have been 30 years ago."

Killers of the Flower Moon is DiCaprio's latest collaboration with filmmaker Martin Scorsese.

The film — based on David Grann’s non-fiction book of the same name — tells the true story of the Reign of Terror, a series of brutal murders of members of the Osage Nation, who were the richest people per capita in the world in the 1920s.

In the movie, DiCaprio plays Ernest Burkhart, a white man who comes to Oklahoma and marries a wealthy Osage woman named Mollie (played by Gladsone). He later becomes part of a conspiracy, concocted by his wealthy cattle rancher uncle William K. Hale (Robert De Niro), to murder members of her family in an effort to inherit her oil rights.

Critics and audiences alike have praised the dark film, with PEOPLE's own Tom Gliatto calling it "the most sinister movie ever made about the West, and probably the most coldly pessimistic portrait of the American character since There Will Be Blood."

Meanwhile, DiCaprio's life offscreen appears to be a lot more joyful. He celebrated his most recent birthday by throwing a star-studded party in Beverly Hills on Nov. 11, with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti and a host of celebrity friends by his side.

A source told PEOPLE that DiCaprio and Ceretti, 25, were “affectionate and kissing throughout the night." The pair have been linked romantically since August.
