Description
The manufacturer was founded in Geneva by Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes to create exclusive timepieces characterized by complicated movements and original designs. In October 2002, Franck Muller was granted first prize in the Genève Watchmaking Grand Prix. The architecture of the Long Island pays tribute to the Art Deco movement in a new vision of the Novecento style. The Long Island, driven by its rectangular shape and numbers, has become a leading collection of Franck Muller. From the eye-catching Color Dreams numerals, to the elegant diamonds adoring the case and from the colored alligator straps to the flawless dial, every single detail of the Long Island has been designed with care and attention to match the beauty of its owner.
This Cintree Curvex Color Dreams Reference 5850SC is a stainless steel automatic wristwatch, case in stainless steel, size in diameter 32x44 mm. Stainless steel pin buckle with red alligator strap. Automatic movement with center second hand. Color dream silver dial with multiple color Arabic indexes.
Condition Report
FairThe watch is in overall fair condition. Case is in overall fair condition with moderate surface wear. Bracelet has signs of stretch, scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Buckle has signs of scratches. Crystal has signs of scratches and surface wear throughout commensurate with age. Case back has signs of scratches. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
