One of my biggest pleasures as a bohemian is to enjoy so many different music styles, i used to navigate the web looking for new music almost every day this became a way to express myself and a way to connect whit people not just in my location, but all over the world, so is really natural for me to meet bands and artist of all kind of music genres. I listen to ,usic from different countries, different cultures, and different kinds of art, and that's the reason why i decided to share whit you my musical experience so you can also enjoy my world the way i do. To start whit this serial of post i wanted to introduce you to my favourite band: Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- .

Born in Japan in 2007, Versailles was formed by 2 experienced musicians very famous in the mentioned country: Kamijo, Vocalist of Lareine and Hizaki, guitarrist of the extinct band Sulfuric Acid. Although both artist were making very different music styles at first, they had in common the Visual-Kei image, a characteristic that make them cowork in a Kamijo solo project named Dignity of Crest. That defined the call of Kamijo when he needed a Guitarrist to make his final Lareine concert, and both of them amazed by the abilities of the other (Kamijo as a writer an Hizaki as a virtuosu guitarrist) andthe music they made before, they started to plan the creation of a new band concentrated in the concept of youshikibi 様式美 (absolute beauty of form) and the extremes of aestheticism, creating a melodic but really fast sound, influenced by classical music.

The musical concept of Versailles has been built in the duelling guitar sound and the heavy but melodic arrangements. That’s why they recruited at first the bassist and the guitarist from the Hizaki Grace Project solo band: Jasmine You and Teruanother virtuous guitarrist that was in the same band. finally, after a long quest of drummer, they found Yuki, a fast and experienced drummer that used to work in the band Sugar Trip.

Versailles' first public appearance took place at Meguro Rockmaykan on June 23rd, where they performed a short set and a showcase in front of an all-male audience. The first official concert followed at the self-sponsored live event Chateau de Versailles, held on June 24th at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM and celebrated by an instore event on the following day.

The tragedy knocked the door of the band in 2009 when in august 2nd the band announced that Jasmine You was passing from a poor physical condition, needing to stop his career by undefined time, and the band decided continue to perform without his bassist but whit minor frequency by a short time. In August 10th, one day before a concert scheduled at Odaiba and arranged by FUJI TV, it was suddenly announced through the band's official homepage that Jasmine You had died and Versailles would cancel all the planned activities until further notice. Messages from the band were published in the following days, but no information as to the cause of death has been released.

While they were looking for a support bassist the found an very virtuous musician known as Mashashi. In the final leg of their "Jubilee-Method of Inheritance Apostles" World Tour in Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall on September from 2010, Masashi was formally introduced as a official member of the band, conforming the band alienation that remains today.

The sound of Versailles is just amazing, the mix neo-classical power metal with a symphonic orchestra, that added to a very female clothing with a baroque style. Their performs in concerts are very theatrical, with gestures and choreographies that emulated opera expressions. The dynamic between Teru and Hizaki is by itself a magical show, andthe sound of their both guitars together i certainly feel is the best i've ever heard, making their solos as dramatical duels that will give you goosebumps.

Versailles -Philarmonic Quintet- is by shure one of the most virtuous metal bands in the world, his musical style is very unique and is so well constructed that they became easily in my favourite band since 2011, and i hope you think the same.
