slow boot

Since upgrading to Monterey I've been experiencing painfully slow boots on my Hackintosh. I consider myself to be a novice when it comes to debugging issues like that.

I Would love it if some of you would be willing to take a peek at my boot log in hopes that it points me in the direction of what possibly could be causing the issue. Any feedback would be appreciated.

For context, here are my HW specs.

transferring usbmap from an older OS to a newer OS? (opencore)

i'll be doing a fresh install of macos ventura on to a different SSD (but remaining with the same system). i'm currently running catalina. i have previously mapped my usb for this system already. if i want to preserve these mappings which files do i need to copy over to the install USB?

Okay so i followed this guide,high sierra in this method doesn’t boot,Mojave stuck on black screen
Catalina installs and runs fine but when i try legacy video patcher for 3000HD it breaks and doesn’t boot anymore
and even wifi doesn’t work

So any help? with either intel3000 on Catalina or fresh install of high sierra
i’m fine with older version of 3000 works fine and hopefully wifi too,as shown in the video

When i boot my hack the login screen appears during boot instead of after. Any way to fix this?

Its not necessarily a necessity i just prefer it after due to annoying trackpad problems

Questioning what my next setup should be

hey everyone, I need some advice on choosing what kind of setup I should go with.

a bit of background: I’m graduating in Graphic Design in December and my workflow requires the Adobe suite plus Cinema 4D.

I don’t know what I will do in the future but I’m mainly leaning towards 3D design and motion graphics.

I currently have a 2015 15” MacBook Pro (maxed out to the 2.8gHz i7 with dGPU).

I can use my Apple Education discount and I will probably enroll into a Master once finished so I have some time.

I’m considering a few options which are the following:

1. keeping my current MacBook till it dies and buying a new Apple Silicon MacBook Pro (which would be nice but they seem to be quite expensive)

PROS: no tinkering around for installing macOS, single and portable workstation

CONS: bulkier laptop, single point of failure (i break my laptop, i’m done with work for a week)


2. building a hackintosh right now, keeping my current macbook till it dies and/or buying a lower-end M1 macbook just for working when I’m not home.

PROS: lower costs in the near future, upgradeability, multiple points of failure, ability to use Windows and Linux (not necessary for my workflow but always useful), can use a G5 case I have laying around

CONS: I will probably have to settle with lower specs due to cost/performance ratio for intel PCs, no macOS updates after a couple years, more time spent looking for parts and building it

T470s shows cancel sign upon installation attempt

I have setup my EFI using opencore release .92 that I plan on dualbooting with linux mint, however I am unable to install MacOS. I have attempted this with both a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 formatted in FAT32 as my laptop only has USB 3.0 ports. upon booting into the USB i am presented with the following options:

1. Windows
2. EFI (external)
3. EFI (external DMG)

RESTART | SHUTDOWN

* Selecting option 1 send em to windows
* Selecting option 2 causes the installer to freeze and refresh so the cursor is at option 1
* Selecting option 3 causes the installer to freeze for 30 seconds, then a Cancel sign is shown and the installer goes back to the options screen

Dualboot on separate drives ("Complicated" Question)

At the moment I have Windows 10 installed on my SSD drive. I have second SSHD drive 2TB. I have reed a lot of information about dualbooting on separates drives (but they are starting from macOS) or on the one drive. What I want to do:
1.Cut 500 GB from my SSHD drive and install Hackintosh on it.

2.Left Windows 10 drive and get dualboot working

My question is: is this event possible or difficult to do? and if this possible how can I to do it?
