It’s a fruit/vegetable that’s loaded with nutrients. In just one cup (165 grams) of jackfruit, there are 92 % carbohydrates with a good quantity of protein and a negligible amount of fat rounding out the composition. Additionally, jackfruit has a fair quantity of fibre and practically all the vitamins and minerals you require. Which makes it the perfect food to support your health and dietary lifestyle. The seeds of the fruit are extremely high in Vitamin B1 and B2 and have very high starch content though the iron and calcium contents are low.
In the year 2020, a Keralite named James Joseph invented jackfruit flour in the world’s history. He was a tech veteran who accidentally discovered the benefits of green jackfruit for diabetes and thus came the jackfruit flour, which was later patented under his name to protect the process he used to make it. He is currently the CEO of Jackfruit365 flour. According to Google, jackfruit flour is prepared from a combination of jackfruit fruits, seeds and strands. Green jackfruit flour has been clinically proven to control blood sugar its results have been published in the American Diabetes Association journal, ‘Diabetes’.
Ever since its invention, jackfruit flour is being used by several chefs for making delicious dis1hes. It is often used in place of meat as jackfruit has a similar taste and texture. People often say that jackfruit is vegan meat for them. It’s an easily replaceable flour which can be used to make literally any dish that you can imagine and make with wheat & all-purpose flour. The only difference is that it will take a little time for people to accept this change in their life as we are too dependent on wheat-based dishes.
