Chen got a last-minute invitation to photograph — and enjoy several laps in! — Price’s spectacular ’62 GTO at Thunderhill Raceway, a priceless machine left in the skillful hands of Velocity founder Jeff O’Neill who serves as narrator. With more than 300 races in Europe and North America in Price’s hands under its perfectly-sculpted belt, the Ferrari looks and sounds brand new.

Chen’s still photography sprinkled throughout the video is topped only by the sound of its 6-carburetor, 2.5-liter 350hp V-12 as Chen records several laps around Thunderhill with O’Neill.

After several hot laps, a fired up lensman exclaimed: “Jeff, that was incredible. I don’t know what to say. This is a time machine. Can you imagine getting in this car back in 1962?”

“That’s our interest: period racing cars with authentic racing histories, whether Formula 1 or ERAs from the 1930s” O’Neill replied. “At [the Laguna Seca Velocity Invitational], we’ll have cars coming from the McLaren Museum, James Hadfield’s collection, racing and custom cars, an F1 collection second to none.
