Boom Boom Room
I had been looking forward to Boom Boom Room since we walked past it on the High Line on our first day in New York City.
It didn't disappoint.
Perched up at the Top of the Standard Hotel, the Boom Boom Room serves up the best cocktails with an envious view of the city.
It was the perfect place to spend my last night in New York.
With excellent company from these two dapper young chaps - Matt and Kishore.
We arrived in time for sun set.
The jazz band was playing.
And the boys debated which of them was the lead singer checking out.
Secretly, I think she was just posing for my camera and checking out neither of them!
After a few cocktails and beers, we were all starting to feel a bit peckish.
This bar knows how to prepare some pretty good share plates.
Crispy shrimp with aioli.
Frites with Béarnaise sauce.
Fish tacos.
Wagyu skewers with miso glaze and soy shallot chutney.
And the best sliders ever. Prime beef burgers with foie gras and truffle relish.
Make sure you come at dusk to admire the beautiful skyline light up.
It was an evening to remember, so Kishore ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate.
Cheers!
I feel incredibly lucky to be on the other side of the world popping champagne and having fun with good friends from back home.
I loved the Boom Boom Room and will be back here again next time for the Sunday brunch.
A perfect way to end my New York trip.
Until next time, NYC!
