Book First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Uncommon journal featuring some of the most influential thinkers of the time and even less commonly found in any kind of decent shape. This copy is fairly well kept and the interior is remarkably clean and fresh. The binding is sturdy, although the spine is slightly rolled, giving some concave action to the front of the book and a slight lean, but this has no bearing on the actual integrity of the binding. Pages are firm within this sturdy binding, though at the front and rear gutters the adhesive shows slightly, again not effecting the integrity overall. There is some stray rubbing to front and back covers, though they are remarkably bright and clean all things considered. Spine edges slightly rubbed. Now in protective mylar, an attractive overall copy of this scarce work. John Cage, Harold Rosenberg, Pierre Chareau, Lionel Abel, Jean Arp, William Baziotes, Paul Goodman, Stanley William Hayter, Charles R. Hulbeck, Richard Huelsenbeck, Joan Mirķ, Robert Motherwell, Oscar Niemeyer, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, David Smith, Virgil Thomson, Edgar Varčse, Ben Weber, Paul Rand, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko.

Condition: Wie neu. 1. Aufl. 48 S. Geschenkqualität. Wie neu. .

Condition: Sehr gut. 1. Aufl. 48 S. Gebrauchtes Exemplar in sehr gutem Zustand. KEINE Eintragungen/Markierungen. Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Cāntic del Sol, published by Gustavo Gili in Barcelona, 1975. Translated in Catalan by Josep Carner with foreword by Maria Manent. The edition features a complete portfolio of 33 etchings with aquatints in color by Joan Mirķ printed on Guarro wove paper. Limited edition of 273 numbered copies, of which this copy is number 180. Each copy is signed in pencil on the justification page by Mirķ. Loose sheets as issued, enclosed in original grey paper wrappers and protected in the original yellow cloth chemise within a matching clamshell box. Cāntic del Sol is a praise to the Creator, originally written in the 13th century by Saint Francis of Assisi who composed this poetic celebration of nature and spirituality. The 33 etchings created by Miro, beautifully complement the text of Francesco d Assisi, creating a harmonious blend of visual and literary art, described by Maria Manent in her foreword as an astonishing cosmic calligraphy . This remarkable work connects us to a legacy of artistic and spiritual exploration, where language, imagery, and faith converge in a corresponding symphony.Ref Cramer: 196 In very good conditions, box, and chemise with light foxing.
