Not surprisingly, this album is amazing. Versailles has got to be one of the most talented group of musicians Ive ever heard play.
This album is yet another symphony with electric guitars. Ive heard many bands called "Neo-Classical" but very few truly live up to what that title would imply.
Its just sad that they are going on hiatus and may never release another album. I will miss them.

I am a bit more recent fan of Versailles, recent as of this year, and am saddened that this could possibly be their last album ever. The album is quite good, I feel more metal fans should discover band though maybe not this album as an entry point. I think Nobel would be better for people just discovering this band and saving this album for later.

Versailles may be the closing chapter of Versailles, and if it is, it is a damn good one. I'm certainly hoping that this isn't the final album, because I love Versailles, but this self-titled album could serve as a good temporary finish.

Great sound and Unique Style! What a find!! If you like fast metal at all and aren't afraid of a unique look (or foreign language) which technically would make it safe for work outside of that country, you *have* to give them a listen!

Love this band. Their music is out of this world. I cannot stop listening to the cd.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic album

Versailles (as in the French court) Philharmonic Quintet is a band of exceptional talent whose combination of Visual Shock (Visual Kei) and unforgettable music delivers a truly epic visually striking musical dreamscape - a veritable feast for the ears and the eyes. Hizaki (guitar), Teru (guitar), Jasmin You (the "eternal" member, died 2009), Masashi (bass guitar), Yuki (drums), Kamijo (vocals), all accomplished musicians and composers in their own right, have delivered a dream team few can match, a team that is easily the equal of bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and so on, and a team that delivers compositions that range from personal to symphonic in nature - epic, in fact (anyone who has seen Faith and Decision live or on video will know what I mean). I most definitely recommend Versailles as an album that should be included in any serious music collection of all hues and colours. Definitely worth five stars (and more).

5.0 out of 5 stars Personally I love this genre

Hard to fathom why visual kei bands never tried harder to make it outside of Japan. Of course the songs are 99% in Japanese with an odd English sentence thrown in here and there. Personally I love this genre, and Versailles were one of the very best groups around. Superb musicianship throughout, an album worth every penny spent...Hizaki....without doubt the most beautiful MAN on the planet, together with Teru provide the blistering guitars. Buy anything by this band, they rock!
