This version of the Grand Caravan is pleasant to drive, handles soundly, and has a roomy interior. We also found it to be quiet, with good wind- and road noise suppression. Still though, it can't match the quality and refinement of the better minivans. Limited interior flexibility and subpar fit and finish detract from the overall package.
In most cases, automotive warranties are based on the vehicle identification number (VIN), and the warranty will be valid regardless of ownership. The dealership can tell you exactly how much warranty is left.
Read more about extended warrantiesThis long-wheelbase version of the Dodge Caravan rides quietly and handles nimbly. (The Chrysler Town & Country and Plymouth Grand Voyager are similar.) The 3.3-liter and the 3.8-liter V6s both accelerate adequately. The front seats are fairly comfortable, but some of our testers found the padding a little lumpy. Tall drivers may find leg room a little tight. The middle and rear seats are very heavy, but they're easy to unhitch. A second, left-side sliding door is a handy option.
