Set Photos Of Lady Gaga As Harley Quinn In 'Joker: Folie A Deux' Have Surfaced Online

Earlier this month, a small clip of Joaquin Phoenix’s The Joker (in a gray running down the street, appeared on the internet. And just a few weeks ago, Lady Gaga released an official image from the movie, showing her as Harley Quinn cradling Phoenix’s face in her hands. Now more images have emerged of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux.
Filming continued for the Joker sequel in Los Angeles where Lady Gaga was spotted sporting Harley Quinn's (or is she Harleen Quinzel here?) signature blonde hair, a beanie, and dressing warm for the weather in the scene.

With the success of Joker, which was the first R-Rated movie to gross over $1 billion, Joker: Folie à Deux is anticipated to have a budget upwards of $150 million. Also directed by Todd Phillips, the sequel to the 2019 runaway hit features several new cast members including Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson. Zazie Beets will reprise her role as Sophie Dumond.
While little is known about the plot, multiple sources have reported that it will be a musical, and a large portion of the film will take place in Arkham Asylum. In French, “folie à deux” means “madness for two,” which further explains the twisted pairing of the Joker and Harley Quinn.
Joker: Folie à Deux waltzes into theaters on October 4th, 2024.
