What are central Ohio's 2023 trick or treat times? Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield counties

Who wants candy?

Kids certainly do, and with Halloween right around the corner, they might already be asking when trick or treat is.

When Halloween falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, regional trick or treat is held the Thursday prior to Oct. 31, according to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission.

However, when the holiday falls on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, trick or treat is held on Oct. 31, the spookiest day of the year.

Local communities can still decide to change or keep their trick-or-treat date and time. Here's your area trick or treat times for your area:

Franklin County

Most communities in Franklin County will hold their trick or treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Oct. 31.

Some exceptions:

Bexley: 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Groveport: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31

Madison Twp: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31

Delaware County

Most Delaware County communities will hold their trick or treat from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Oct. 31, with the exception of Galena, which will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Fairfield County

Lancaster: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Bremen: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26

Canal Winchester: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Pickerington: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Licking County

Johnstown: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Heath: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26

Newark: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26

Pickaway County

Circleville: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31

Asheville: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday Oct. 29

Madison County

Halloween in Madison County, including London, is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Union County

Halloween Trick or Treat in Union County will also be held on Tuesday, October 31,2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. People participating can leave their porch light on.
