This unit was in far better shape than I expected from the written description. Functionally it is better-than-new, as the flash drive is faster and more reliable than the original hard drive. The new battery lasts for several days of normal usage (2-3 hours a day). The sound is great as it uses the same Wolfson DAC as the original iPods. Very pleased with my purchase.
