Fantastic Game for All Guitar Hero Fans, and a Welcome Return to the Franchises Rock n' Roll Roots
I'd say this is the best Guitar Hero game that was released. I love the song list (which contains 93 songs!), the characters, and the leveling system incorporated in Quickplay. Quest Mode: The last game before Guitar Hero Live released, Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock sends you on a quest to find the legendary guitar, save the Demigod of Rock, defeat the beast, and save rock and roll. Each chapter consists of a character that has a unique power (Johnny Napalm has Speed Freak, Axel Steel has Resurrection, etc.) that is used to earn power stars. Along the way, you'll progress 8 rocker into their "warrior" forms, granting them a new look and upgrading their power. Quickplay+: Unique to this game is the star challenges that each song (including DLC songs) has. Each song has challenges for all ... I'd say this is the best Guitar Hero game that was released. I love the song list (which contains 93 songs!), the characters, and the leveling system incorporated in Quickplay. Up to 3 challenges are available to try for your instrument of choice, and even if you aren't focused on trying them, they still track your progress in the song. These challenges have 3 levels of achievement: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. With each completed challenge, an extra star is earned towards leveling. The max amount that can be obtained at once is 15 (6 from 100%ing the song, and 9 from getting diamond on all 3 challenges). Leveling System: In Quickplay+, earning stars allows you to level up and unlock many kinds of things. These include, but not limited to: Characters, Venues, Galleries, Cheats/Extras, Instruments, etc. (Some of these can be unlocked by playing through Quest Mode, with a select few ONLY being unlockable in Quest Mode). Overall, the level system really inspires you to try harder difficulties and different instruments to earn the most stars that you can. There is no level cap, so you can go as high as you can! Wrapping up, I'd say this is the best Guitar Hero in the series. While some may not like it as its mostly comprised of metal and rock songs, or that some songs are too difficult, veteran fans of the series will feel welcome here in this challenging, but rewarding rock and roll paradise.

Constant freezing mid-game
I love this game! It’s so fun but, ever since the first time I played it, it has been really bad about freezing. At first it was ok with little freezing, but I only got to play it once before leaving for vacation so I didn’t get to see how bad it fully was. Now that I’m back and have been playing it more, the freezing is getting really bad. I can’t go a number of seconds without it freezing and when it does freeze, the background keeps going on, losing my points but making it impossible to play. Other than that I love the game and the song, but the freezing makes it really hard to play. I was offered a different disk but since I wasn’t home at the time and had only played it once, I declined the offer to make it less of a hassle. Warriors of Rock was designed to return to the series' roots (to late), focusing heavily on lead guitar and towards the existing base of skilled players of the series. The game features a remade career mode called "Quest" set to a story influenced by heavy metal and narrated by Gene Simmons. Part of the story is influenced by the lyrics of the song "2112" by Rush, who narrate this portion of the game, while the finale is set to a new song performed by Megadeth and written by Dave Mustaine specifically to challenge Guitar Hero players. The game features 93 songs on disc, and compatibility with existing exportable songs and downloadable content from several previous ... All the familiar gameplay is still around (using instruments to play along with music tracks), and it's as fun as ever. The cast of characters also brings back familiar faces as well as adding in a handful of new characters to play as. What Warriors of Rock does a little differently this time around is go more in-depth into a fantasy-like rock n' roll story quest for players to engage in. Though the story may seem highly imaginative, the gameplay is what keeps you in, and the song list is quite impressive and really drives the game. The level of difficulty between songs is well balanced and easy for anyone to pick up and play, though later songs in the story ... Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock for Wii is a great music game that again goes a step further than the last installment in the series. Like in the last installment, 4 players can battle it out in teams, 2 players on guitars and 2 players on the Nintendo DS. However, the person with the Nintendo DS can now manage the song set list to apply a song to play next when everyone else is playing free play, full band or not. Also, there's another mode for the Nintendo DS player to tag along with another player on an instrument to complete challenges for individual songs, and that's where fun minigames come to play. All in all, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock maintains a high replay value for anyone looking to add new music and ways to experience Guitar Hero to their library.
