Old Dads Trailer

"Maybe I'm not cut out for this... but I'd do anything for my kid." Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a comedy called Old Dads, marking the feature directorial debut of comedian / actor Bill Burr. Burr co-writes, directs, produces and stars in this film for Netflix. Thankfully it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Wild Hogs or anything else like that. Burr co-stars with Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine, who play the titular "old dads". Three best friends become fathers later in life and find themselves battling preschool principals, millennial CEOs and anything created after 1987. The comedy cast also includes Katie Aselton, Reign Edwards, Rachael Harris, Miles Robbins, and Jackie Tohn. This doesn't seem like it's going to reinvent comedy, but it also doesn't look as bad as it very easily could look. There's a few solid jokes in here, and some super cringe humor – which is actually kind of amusing. I'm down to check this out.

Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Bill Burr's Old Dads, direct from Netflix's YouTube:

Old Dads Poster

When three best friends (Bill Burr, Bobby Cannavale, Bokeem Woodbine) decide to sell their company to a millennial, they find themselves out of step and behind the times as they hilariously struggle to navigate a changing world of culture - including anything created after 1987. Old Dads is directed by the American comedian / actor / filmmaker Bill Burr, making his feature directorial debut after executive producing many projects and writing the "F Is for Family" series previously. The screenplay is written by Bill Burr and Ben Tishler. It's produced by Monica Levinson, Ben Tishler, Bill Block, Bill Burr, Mike Bertolina. Made by Miramax, All Things Comedy, and All of Us Productions. This hasn't premiered at any festivals or elsewhere. Netflix will debut Burr's Old Dads streaming on Netflix starting October 20th, 2023. Look funny or not?
