Childhood memories.
My mom used to have the solid perfume. I wish I had kept it with me.
I bought one bottle yesterday. Smells real good! Aldehydic and woody notes. Something floral as well.

BlueBerrycherry

Absolutely lovely scent, reminded me of Chanel N5, musky, comforting, like cuddle.

For me, the smell of love.

It was the perfume of my beloved grandmother, who didn't hesitate to bathe in it when she left the house. She would put it on her lap and behind her ears and you could tell it was her coming just by the smell.

It reminds me of my childhood and the purest love I've ever received. With the reformulation, it leaves a smell of alcohol in the air, but when it dries, it still reminds me of good times.

I have to say that for me what stands out the most are the aldehydes and citrus of bergamot and lemon, that at the beginning, from there it takes a herbal scent, atalcadoi and maintaining its aldehydic quality, if you like channel number 5, you may also like this one for the management of aldehydes that for me is very similar, in the end it is a little smell very similar to the smell of avon creams (neutral type like accolade and so on).

I usually use it when I'm looking for an aromatic embrace, it's like an angel that envelops me both on happy and innocent days and on sad days when I need a sweet stimulus. I love this cologne, although I have it in all versions - (deodorant, cologne and Eau de Toilette) - and I use them together to reinforce it. The refreshing cologne alone, surprisingly, lasts quite long.

Toque de Amor, I fell in love with this perfume again. Actually, in Argentina, where I live, it is only available in its Colonia version, the plastic bottle and the Alhambra. I got the first one since they didn't have the other one, and I ordered it and it really brought back so many memories of past times, it is a calm, comforting scent, it brings a lot of peace. But what surprised me the most is that, being my ph quite difficult, in which national colognes or perfumes do not last too much, this being a cologne, and not the Alhambra I could perceive its notes, and even a trail! I did not want to vaporize it, to experience the use of a cologne as it should be used, and it was really a wonderful experience to feel its scent on the entire surface of the skin, an atalcado scent in my opinion mainly and not as aldehydic as I remembered it or as I could read in the reviews. I used this fragrance many years ago and remembered that at that time, maybe the 90's or I don't remember, it was not persistent and I was pleasantly surprised now. It is so economical that I recommend to try it to those who like classic scents, atalcados, floral, I do not perceive anything fruity, I just feel a bouquet of white flowers and highlight the sense of well being that provides, I agree with those who perceive it similar to L'Air Du Temps, perfume that I also used in the 80s. Maybe that's why I find this cologne so pleasant. I hope that at some point Avon will bring to Argentina the perfume version of the bottle as they did with Sweet Honesty, since I have seen it in other Latin American countries and it is very beautiful. I also feel it is very similar to a perfume that Avon made in the 70's and at least in Argentina it is not available for a long time and it is "Here's My Heart", they even have the same packaging, I do not know if this Toque de Amor is not a reformulation of that beautiful perfume that I used in the 70's in its cream perfume version, a delight too. As always, Avon perfumes do not disappoint, and sincerely, I still prefer them to many economic or alternative versions of imported perfumes, to some imported ones that have not been persistent or good, and above all, to many national ones that do not persist for half an hour and are very expensive. Obviously, this is just my opinion and opinion, I respect those who may not like the brand or its perfumes.

To me, it smells like one of those floral talcum powders that were used years ago. It is very aldehydic at the top, but that soon drops its intensity to give way to floral notes, iris and green notes (that's how I perceive it, in that order).
It's for classic women, definitely. I wear it to sleep or to be at home, it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed.
It does look a bit like L'air du temps, but this one is much more wearable.

My dear fellow perfume lovers, I've gathered information from olfactory pyramids from various reliable sources about this classic that has stood the test of time and continues to be a mega-success - it's the best seller in the Cristal range.

"Touch of Love Dossier"

- Olfactory Family: Aldehydic Floral, Fruity Cyprus or Fruity Floral, there are several classifications for this fragrance.

- Launch: in 1957 worldwide under the name "Here's my heart", and later launched in Brazil as "Toque de amor".

- Olfactory pyramid:

Top - Aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, lily-of-the-valley, water lily (Victoria regia)

Heart - Floral bouquet, mimosa, iris, narcissus, neroli, green notes, melon.

Base - Woods, sandalwood, oak moss, benzoin, amber, musk, vanilla

note: the civet note is very evident here even though I can't find anything about it. The patchouli note must also be present, since we're talking about a Cyprus and every perfume in this olfactory family has this note.

Another Avon classic that came to my hands in the middle of the Christmas season. I got it in its Alhambra version with a different packaging that it shares with other old colognes of the brand. I was expecting something sweeter, maybe the woody touch makes it more serious than I imagined. Clearly aldehydic and classic at the start, as it settles down there is a fresh floral scent that is a bit alcoholic and reminiscent of a family moment or an aunt/grandmother/mother from the 70s/80s. This is not a bad thing, I like scents of this type and I expected nothing less taking into account its release date and how it was the trend of the time in terms of fragrances. Woody, classic, fresh, ideal for after a shower in mid-season (not very suitable for very powerful summer but in winter I would not recommend it either because the freshness of its flowers makes the scent is lost in the cold) and the packaging also serves as decoration. Excellent price too!

I bought the cologne yesterday, thinking that because of its name it would be sweeter, fresh, fruity, romantic, feminine, innocent, let's say a "pink cologne". In Argentina we are close to the summer season and I was looking to prolong the freshness after the shower. I found a totally classic scent, floral, not very sweet but as it dries it becomes sweeter and sweeter. Honestly, it's not the kind of scent I usually like (I really like gourmand or sweet floral scents), but that doesn't mean it's unpleasant. It is perceived very classic, without great pretensions, clean, floral (honestly the fruity notes do not feel very present) and a little formal, but being a cologne it is not so strong. I notice it a bit woody too. It is one of those colognes that surely remind you of one you used as a child, teenager or at some point in life. It reminds me of a perfume I used when I was a girl, Little Women. Although it's not totally to my liking, I'm going to give it more of a chance when I get out of the shower, as an after-bath cologne. I will use it and see how it evolves especially with the warm/hot weather. For its price (very economical in Argentina), it can be very convenient for all those women who like classic, floral, atalcado, somewhat formal scents that are not too intrusive or attention-grabbing. I feel that it is a moderate cologne, that if you do not like it, at least I do not think it is overwhelming.

How strange that such a classic avon perfume doesn't have so many reviews and votes!

I remember my grandmother wearing this perfume a few years ago and I liked it so much that I had asked my dad for one too and I remember wearing it for quite some time, I think I was between 8 and 10 years old.

Obviously it's not that it's a better perfume than all the others that Avon and other brands have. But they are those perfumes that bring back memories of childhood, of your grandmother... and I think that makes it something beautiful.

I just recently, yesterday in fact, bought the Cologne because the perfume itself is no longer available, and I love it. I'm going to be using it just to spritz on my bed and pajamas at night because I feel like it's special for that ❤.

For cool fall and winter nights when you go to bed with lots of blankets ♡.

It's not a sweet scent in particular, it's more fresh, somewhat floral but quite boozy and woody.

In itself, it's not a perfume maybe for work or anything like that, I recommend it for going to sleep, it's perfect for that 💕.

I got to know this gem (which, unfortunately, is so underrated) in my early childhood, when I was about four years old. I had an aunt, who at the time was "dumped" by her husband and lived with my maternal grandfather. And everyone at the time looked at her with prejudice because of this. Unfortunately, she became an alcoholic and, according to the language of the people, had dubious moral conduct. She was a person who suffered a lot in life, and I deeply regret that. But I have a tender memory of her, a brief moment when I was visiting my parents at my grandparent's house one day, and I was alone with her for a short moment and she showed me an ivory-colored shell, and inside it was a cream, wax or whatever, and it had a wonderful perfume! I was enchanted by this little shell, which seemed magical to me because it contained something so fragrant! Some time later I learned that it was the fragrance Toque de Amor. I didn't get to use it when it was potent, but I remember that my mother had several bottles of that (wonderful!) red Charisma, but Toque de Amor she must have had very few, because I don't remember her using it. Well, although I didn't use it when it was more powerful, I use it today with delight and admiration for such a beautiful jewel. Unfortunately, on me, as on most people, it doesn't stay put either, and its projection is average. But that's not a problem for me, as I shower with this perfume, giving it more than 60 sprays when I wear it, including spraying it on my clothes. So this divine and intoxicating perfume lasts a long time, giving me pleasure for longer. And if the perfume wears off, I reapply it! I don't mind reapplying it, because I love it so much and the pleasure it gives me. Today I have one bottle in use plus 9 backups. But don't think that's an exaggeration, as it won't be long before I have to replenish my stock. I'm terrified that Avon will discontinue it. Especially with the rumors of the bad phase the company is going through and its possible sale to Natura. A diaphanous, comfortable, soft, feminine and eternal perfume. It breaks my heart to see that it's no longer so popular, because I know that's a bad sign. But I make backups as often as I can and hold out hope for its rediscovery by perfume lovers, which will make it truly eternal!

Haha. Fragrantica sometimes goes off the deep end when it comes to cataloging and classifying certain perfumes. Sometimes I even see people agreeing with olfactory pyramids that are very different from the scents of the perfumes. That's why I always look for information on international websites or blogs.
Let's get to the facts - Here's My Heart and Toque de Amor are the same fragrance. They both smell the same. Therefore, both pyramids should have the same structure. That's not the case here. Boo I'm not the fool!
For those who want the real pyramid, here it is:

Opening: Aldehydes and Lily of the Valley.

Middle: Mimosa, Iris and Melon.

Base: Sandalwood and Oak Moss.

An extremely fragrant and tart perfume. It took a while to win me over, but now I find it beautiful, chic and mysterious.

It was one of the perfumes of my mother's youth. When she tells stories about when she was young, Touch of Love and Topaze are always mentioned.
My mother nostalgically recounts how she was back then. A very beautiful, vain young woman from the 70s who liked to wear extravagant clothes, high heels, red lipstick and, of course, Touch of Love.
I bought this perfume recently because, once again, my mother mentioned it in one of her stories and I needed to know the perfume that marked her youth.
I bought the Cristal version and fell in love with it, even though I know it's nowhere near as wonderful as it was supposed to be when it was launched.
On me, it's a soft rose soap. I use it to sleep because of the comfort it gives me. Wonderful! If this already made me fall in love, I would certainly have fallen in love with the vintage.
For me, this perfume is a feeling, it's nostalgia, it's part of my mother's story. It's the good memories of her best years.

I'm rediscovering Avon.

Far Away Infinity, Charisma, traditional Luiza Brunet, Sweet Honesty and Surreal Garden (which is about to arrive) have won their place in my heart.

I bought Touch of Love.

Very aldehydic (I like that), very clovey (I love it), it has a bit of Chanel 5, Charlie, Charisma, perfumes that cannot be missing in my life.

But all this together, and how Touch of Love looked on my skin, didn't work, unfortunately.

But, crazy as I am, I didn't keep or despise the perfume, after all, it has a history.
When I washed my bed linen, I put about 10 ml of this cologne in the fabric softener compartment and..... it worked, the clothes were lightly scented, it was very good lol.

I didn't tell anyone here at home, and no one complained lol.

Tart, demure, floral and laced with aldehydes. Touch of Love, like the classics of the house, marked decades and generations and many families had one or two on their dressing tables. In my grandmother's house there was a dressing table with the most acclaimed vintages. Toque de Amor (Touch of Love) was launched in several special versions in miniatures of kittens, swans, puppies, peasants, cars, reindeer, pine trees and real Santa Clauses - my grandmother still has some.
Today it is sold in the crystal version, which is edt. The vintage version opens with a very tart and liquorish sweetness. After a few minutes, it evolves and continues to be tart, with white flowers like jasmine, gardenia, angelica... it exudes a lot of flowers in an aroma that is asabonetado, I think it's the aldehydes and the very pronounced tartness. The current crystal version is reminiscent of the vintage version, but closer to the skin. It would be like a summer version with less aldehydes and more subdued flowers. Vintage perfumes mostly smell like talcum powder because in the last century perfumed talcum powder was more accessible, so perfumers adapted it to perfumes in order to easily please the public and attract more and more customers.
The vintage lasted 6-7 hours and the crystal 4.5 hours. The projection of both is still powerful, but the vintage exhales strongly and only calms down in the last 2 hours and the crystal version projects strongly in the first 2 hours, then stays close to the skin, and stays on clothes longer. For those who like classic perfumes, Vintages Touch of Love may appeal to you.

I love this perfume.
In my childhood, we lived on the farm.
We were very humble. I remember that in the mid-1980s, I think more specifically around 1984, my mother bought an Avon Toque de Amor kit, which consisted of a perfume and a talcum powder.
The perfume was only for ultra-special occasions, while the talc my mother used on a daily basis.
I remember waking up in the morning, going for coffee and smelling the wood-burning stove, the freshly baked cornmeal cake and my mother enveloped in an intoxicating aura of Toque de Amor talc. It was magical.
That peculiar aroma has remained forever etched in my memories.
Around the year 2000, when I was more financially stable, I started working in a perfumery selling imported perfumes and was seduced by that magical universe of aromas, luxury and brands.
I then began my ambitious project of putting together a small collection of fragrances.
At first, I confess I despised the unforgettable Toque de Amor, perhaps because I thought it would be marketed constantly and forever.
I even learned in 2008 that it had been discontinued.
I immediately went to the first Avon consultant and she told me exactly that. It was no longer on the market.
At first I was very disappointed with myself for having ignored the fact that this might one day happen.
And I let it go.
Around 2010, while I was at the Sunday market, I saw a stall selling, among other things, Avon creams, moisturizers and various types of deodorant. It was a lady of a certain age who ran the stall. Just out of conscience, I asked if the perfume Toque de Amor was still being sold. She told me she thought it had gone out of stock, but she thought she still had two bottles left.
I was shocked and asked her to get it. Then she started rummaging through four bags and couldn't find anything, until in the third bag she started pulling out a multitude of Avon perfumes, including a bottle of Charisma, a bottle of Topaze, a bottle of Timeless and finally, two bottles of Toque de Amor.
I asked how much each bottle was. She told me that each bottle cost R$10.00.
I bought them all.
The bottles have a different lid to the one my mother had.
I still hold the four bottles in the highest esteem. They sit next to my rarer perfumes, such as Givenchy III, Gala by Loewe, M7 and Jazz by Yves Saint Laurent.
The perfume is a masterpiece of American perfumery.
A very tender perfume. A cascade of white flowers. With a hint of jasmine and musk, even though it's not in the composition, it's fragrant.
And it brings back memories of warmth, affection, tenderness, love, motherly care and family.
For those who don't know the fragrance, it's reminiscent of Guerlain's L'Heure Bleu.
