Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years: secretly getting married, welcoming their daughter, Kulture, and breaking up multiple times in between. And in September 2020, the “WAP” hitmaker officially filed for divorce—and has apparently changed her mind a two months later.
She confirmed her marriage to the Migos rapper was over, revealing they simply “grew apart.” However, by mid-October the exes were reportedly spotted together for Card B’s 28th birthday celebration, which included a lot of PDA, an expensive gift, and a huge billboard in her honor.

February 2017: Cardi and Offset first sparked romance rumors after attending the 2017 Super Bowl together. At the time they told fans they were just friends, but the Migos rapper later told Rolling Stone that this was their first official date.
May 2017: The pair went on to collaborate on “Lick,” a single on Cardi’s mixtape, Gangsta Bitch Music, Vol. 2, as well as appeare in the track’s music video together.
October 2017: Offset got down on one knee in the middle of a concert and asked Cardi to marry him—and she said yes.
December 2017: Offset was caught in the center of a cheating scandal after videos that appeared to show him in bed with multiple women surfaced online. Though the rapper refused to discuss his private life, Cardi did respond to the rumors on Twitter, saying, “This shit happens to everyone.”
April 2018: Cardi announced her pregnancy on Saturday Night Live after weeks of speculation.
June 2018: After Offset referred to Cardi as his wife at the BET Awards, the “Bodak Yellow” artist confirmed the couple had been secretly married for months.
July 2018: The couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Kulture Kiari Cephus, on July 10.

December 2018: Cardi announced on Instagram that she and Offset had broken up and were planning to get a divorce. “We got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time,” she said at the time. “And it’s nobody’s fault. It’s just like I guess we grew out of love. But we’re not together anymore.”
On December 15, Offset tried to publicly win Cardi back by surprising her with a flower arrangement that said “Take Me Back Cardi” during her Rolling Loud Festival performance in Los Angeles.
February 2019: Cardi B thanked her “husband” while accepting her win for Best Rap Album.
May 2019: The pair also attended the 2019 Billboard Music Awards together.

December 2019: Cardi opened up about her relationship with Offset in an interview with Vogue, explaining why she stayed with him even after the cheating scandal. “When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me,” she said. “But it’s real-life shit. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you’re depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you’re not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation.”

September 2020: After three years of marriage, Cardi filed for divorce from Offset. She later revealed there was no cheating involved, adding that she “got tired of fucking arguing.”
October 2020: Cardi was reportedly spotted kissing Offset after he gifted her with a custom black Rolls-Royce during her lavish birthday party in Las Vegas on October 10. Per TMZ, the car had Kulture’s name embroidered on the seats. The pair were later spotted packing on the PDA throughout the evening.
Offset also got his ex (maybe?) a big pink birthday billboard that read “Happy birthday Mommy, Love Kulture.” Cardi captioned a video of it, writing, “Thank you sir. I love it.”

October 15, 2020: Cardi B revealed on Instagram Live that she and Offset are back together. “It’s hard not to talk to your best friend. You know what I’m saying?” she said, per People. “It’s really hard not to talk to your best friend. And it’s really hard to have no d—. And it’s just like, I don’t know.”
November 2020: Cardi B and Offset have called off their divorce two months after the original news broke. On November 2, a Georgia judge dismissed the case “without prejudice,” per People.
