Dua Lipa Wore Her Panties Over Her Tights, Superman-Style

The no-pants trend is evolving.

Once upon a time before masculinity had its nth crisis, superheroes like Superman and Batman wore their underwear over their tights. Seriously. Look. Pop star Dua Lipa looked at their swag and said, “I can do that,” and you know what, she totally can.

Seriously. Look!

The newly dyed redhead, who recently wiped her grid in advance of her upcoming single “Houdini” (album to follow, presumably), posed for a photo shoot in sheer red tights, a sporty top, and white bikini briefs. On the outside. So, not underwear, but not outerwear either. Just wear.

Do we see the vision?

“I’m putting on three surprise launch events for Houdini in London, Los Angeles and Tokyo,” the singer wrote in the caption of the photo dump, “The first one’s going to be in my hometown, London, this Thursday!!! 🫀🫀🫀 I’m going to be inviting down some of my fans from the UK and around Europe, so keep your eyes peeled 🔐.” For our money, this outfit is meant to represent a portion of the Union Jack (British flag).

With the pantsless trend taking over street style, are visible panties its next iteration? If anyone could launch that trend, it's her. She's actually been flashing her undies for a while now.

Dua Lipa is posed for a major hot streak, having had one of summer 2023's biggest hits with “Dance the Night” from the Barbie soundtrack, and a legion of fans who are simply desperate to see her. “C’mon flexible queen 😍,” wrote Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness on the post. Another commenter joked, “Hey I’m actually moving from Tokyo on the 13th but won’t be in LA until the 20th so these dates don’t really work for me.” And of course there are the “speak out about the Middle East” comments which, listen, I get the sentiment, but maybe point that energy at politicians, as most celebs would rather leave social media altogether than touch the third rail of current events.

Anyway, yay, Dua Lipa!
