The impossible occurred over the first weekend of Coachella 2023: Leonardo DiCaprio was seen with a woman over the age of 25: Irina Shayk.
On April 16, DiCaprio, 48, was photographed mingling with the 37-year-old model at Levi and Don Julio's Neon Carnival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, following Saturday's performances, which included Calvin Harris. Per People, DiCaprio accompanied Shayk and a group of friends throughout the evening.
While the closeness of the photos could easily spark romance rumors between the two A-listers, it's entirely possible that the club was really crowded or the dancing was completely platonic. According to People, the Oscar winner and the model are “longtime” friends.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who was all decked out in a baseball cap, black tee, and chain necklace for the music festival, also happens to be friends with Shayk's ex Bradley Cooper.
Shayk and Cooper were first linked romantically in April 2015 and welcomed their daughter, Lea de Seine, in March 2017. They called it quits in 2019 but remained friends, even going on vacations together. Shayk has spoken warmly about Cooper as a coparent to the press. Rumors that they were rekindling their relationship circulated late last year. “They are considering getting back together,” a source told Page Six in September 2022. “Irina would like her daughter to have a sibling.”
DiCaprio is notorious for dating younger women, particularly women under the age of 25. Following his breakup with Daisy Jones and the Six star Camilla Morrone, 25, last year, he was rumored to be casually dating GiGi Hadid, 27. Hadid reportedly did not “have the energy” for him.

Over the weekend Shayk shared a dramatic black Coachella look on her Instagram grid. She wore a sheer black body-con maxidress with black high-waist undies. The dress also has diagonal ruffles throughout. With her hair down and artfully mussed up, Shayk wore a deep red lip and played up the drama with a black choker and a rosary necklace.
