I'd like everyone take a moment to take in this photo of Gisele Bndchen taken yesterday at WSJ Magazine's Innovator of the Year Awards because it serves as a really great reminder about a makeup rule that's easy to forget about when you're getting ready for a night out. Notice that you can still see her skin. Sure, I'd bet she's wearing a bit of tinted moisturizer or even a light foundation, but she still looks human. So often when I go out, I see women with a pound of makeup on their face so their skin starts to look almost robot-like—and certainly not like something you could touch without coming away with a nice layer of skin-color goop all over your hands. Makes me want to walk around with makeup wipes in my clutch.
