Vanessa Hudgens just rolled up to the 2024 Oscars with an unexpected plus-one.

Hudgens announced her pregnancy with a red-carpet baby-bump debut, arriving at Los Angeles’s Dolby Theater in a floor-length black gown and her hair pulled back into a sleek half-updo. She finished off the look with plenty of diamonds and a bronzy glow. The High School Musical alum will be cohosting ABC’s Countdown to Oscars: On the Red Carpet Live! special.

Just a few months ago, Vanessa Hudgens married MLB plater Cole Tucker in Mexico, proving the 35-year-old actor is just full of surprises. She hinted that the pair might elope back in May 2023, telling Drew Barrymore that she was “lost” when it came to choosing a venue. In the end Hudgens and Tucker tied the knot before the New Year, surrounded by family and friends in Tulum. “She’s a wife now,” Hudgens wrote on Instagram on December 10, having kept her wedding plans largely under wraps since announcing their engagement in February 2023.

Hudgens and Tucker met in a Zoom meditation group sometime during the COVID-19 lockdown following the actor's split from ex-boyfriend Austin Butler in January 2020. Hudgens ended up sliding into the shortstop's DMs—and the rest is history. “I’m such a go-getter. If I want something or someone, I’m going after him,” Hudgens said during an earlier appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021. “I think there’s no shame in making the first move. If you want it, why wait for someone else to give you what you want?”

Congratulations, you two!
