CATHERINE BABA FOR THE IMAGINE INSTITUTE 

This fundraiser is the beginning of a promise I made to myself if I came out alive.

I wish to raise funds for research against genetic diseases and more particularly those that help to better understand cancer and leukemia.

I have chosen the Imagine Institute, the leading European research center for genetic diseases, located on the campus of the Necker-Enfants malades hospital in Paris. The very first paediatric hospital in the world.

In 2019, I was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Four months later, I underwent a bone marrow transplant at Necker Hospital.

Since then & for over a year, I have been treated for chronic GvHD, a post transplant symptom. 

Today I have made a lot of progress & I am healing better & feeling stronger.

Without research and the advancement of technologies like those at Imagine Institute, neither I, nor so many others of all ages, would be here today.

Please help me to help the researchers at the Imagine Institute, fight the genetic diseases that cause certain forms of cancer such as leukemia.

Cette collecte de fonds est le début d'une promesse que je me suis faite si je m'en sortais vivante.

Je souhaite collecter des fonds pour la recherche contre les maladies génétiques et plus particulièrement celles qui aide à mieux comprendre le cancer et la leucémie.

J'ai choisi l'Institut Imagine, 1er centre européen de recherche sur les maladies génétiques, situé sur le campus de l'hôpital Necker-Enfants malades à Paris. Le tout premier hôpital pédiatrique au monde.

En 2019, on m'a diagnostiqué une leucémie aiguë. Quatre mois plus tard, j'ai subi une greffe de moelle osseuse à l'hôpital Necker.

Depuis & pendant plus d'un an, j'ai été traité pour une GvHD chronique, un symptôme post-transplantation. 

Aujourd'hui, j'ai fait beaucoup de progrès & je me sens plus forte.

Sans la recherche et l'avancement des technologies comme celles de l'Institut Imagine, ni moi, ni tant d'autres personnes de tous âges, ne serions là aujourd'hui.

Aidez-moi à aider les chercheurs de l’Institut Imagine à combattre les maladies génétiques à l’origine de certaines formes de cancers comme la leucémie.

Tous les dons, aussi petits soient-ils, sont essentiels.
