It seems the crazy Merikan world has no limits in this final book in the series.Talk about saving the best until last!

Who would have thought a series featuring modern day bikers, time travel, demons, gargoyles and an array of captivating characters would work so well.

I couldn't wait to read this.I mean it's Laurent, sassy, stubborn, opinionated and so endearing as he navigates the modern world.

With time running out and Baal's threats hitting way to close to home Beast is struggling to get a grip on the situation and when Laurent makes a decision that will forever change their lives the two men find their relationship at breaking point.-I never saw this delicious twist coming and was screaming inside every time it was mentioned!

And the epilogue( yes there's more than one!), were just delightful.

As I got towards the end there was a question I was dying to ask the Authors only to have it answered in the Authors note at the end....and I honestly CANNOT WAIT for that adventure.

Highly Recommended.

In The Arms of The Beast

Coming in 2018, last book in the Kings of Hell MC series.

Teaser blurb :)

Neither Laurent nor Beast ever considered that they would make another pact with a devil, but in the spur of the moment, the temptation becomes too great, and they decide on one more deal.

This time, with Mr. Magpie.

What they get, though, might prove to be more than they can handle. The danger to the human world has already been a strain on their relationship, but Magpie’s gift brings out the worst in both Laurent and Beast. Confronted with each other’s flaws, they need to decide if, despite what they’ve been through together, maybe they’re just not meant to be.

4 Stars!

It was bittersweet to start and finish the last book in the King's of Hell series. It has been an interesting ride to say the least. But I would expect nothing less from these ladies. The worlds and characters they create are always the most interesting, entertaining, and imaginative.

There are many ups and downs in Laurent and Beast's relationship in this book, but the one thing that was constant is their love for one another.

There's a lot going on in this one and as a common factor in this series, you really have keep an open mind on how unrealistic most of it is.

In all honesty it was really hard to love Laurent as much as I did in the first book. He came off really bratty and selfish. Making decisions for him and Beast, life changing decisions, without talking to Beast first. He just wasn't as likable as he was in the first book. Beast is still strong and sensitive as ever and stayed a strong character that I really like.

The ending was a bit underwhelming and I was really saddened with who sacrificed themselves because I was really starting to love this character and was hoping they would get their own book.

I am excited that we are not done with this world and it will continue in the spin-off.

Happy reading dolls! xx

i initially wrote "RTC once i figure out how this series went from dark, gritty goodness to soap opera romcom 🤔" but quite frankly, i still find myself unable to wrap my head around the dramatic shift, so here i am putting forth my own lackadaisical two cents to finally close this chapter.

the whole book showed me why Beast and Laurent are absolutely horrible for each other. blame it on the infamous personality transplants that have consistently occurred throughout this series (to think i went from finding Laurent endearing with his love of plastic to now wanting to throttle him more than Beast, never thought this day would come), but there's also stupid relationship drama, a stupid lack of communication, and the existence of a gosh darn egg that made me seethe with rage (more of my fury can be found in my review for the previous book lol).

in this house we care only for Gray and Shadow, Vars and Jake, and now Magpie(!).

everyone else is getting exiled from my lands 🙃

A thousand stars!!!

Imaginative, creative, romantic and extremely satisfying, In the Arms of the Beast is brimming with relationship angst, passion, romance, heart stopping action, dark magic and so, SO many surprises.

When a favorite series ends, I’m always scared that I’m going to be disappointed. This was as far from disappointing as a book can get. It was supposed to be the conclusion to the main plot about Baal and his final plans to ruin the human world. What I got was much, MUCH more than I expected.

I will not spoil the story and, trust me, it’s impossible to express how much and what exactly I LOVED about the book without spoilers. I will only say that never in a million years did I see this happening. There is a surprise at every corner, little details here and there that suddenly make sense, and plotlines that come together and create the most incredible resolution. But above all there are so many emotions that took me by surprise.

Grief about people that won my heart against all odds but had to go. Sadness about others that lost a big part of their joy and nonchalance. Outrage about those who turned against friends. Happiness about all the love and brotherhood among couples and friends that apparently doesn’t fade through the years.

The epilogues is one of the best parts of this books and definitely one of my all time favorite epilogues. Yes, you read that right. Multiple epilogues, told from each of the couples POV, that span almost 15 years!!! That’s all I’m going to say without spoiling everything.

There are news in the end of this book that filled me with so much JOY! I can’t wait. I knew that the Merikans have mad skills but they went above and beyond with this one.

I highly recommend the whole series. These books do NOT stand alone.

Five absolutely brilliant totally mind-blowing can't believe that plot twist out of nowhere no idea how I'm going to review this stars!

Well, that was a total riot and I had no clue just how the Merikans were going to wrap up a series which has seen pacts made with Baal, Shadows come to life, a time travelling Frenchman, ghosts and people brought back from the dead. Oh and gargoyles!

This series is unique. A motorcycle club like no other and everything about it is utterly brilliant. This concluding episode throws a surprise right at the end and I for one can't wait to see where that spin-off series takes the Kings of Hell MC and their former demonically possessed clubhouse.

Laurent is still adorable and infuriating, Beast is still overly possessive and loveable, Knight and Elliott are still off in their own ghost hunting world, Vars and Jake are still Daddy/boy and Gray and Shadow remain my favourite couple of all.

I can't go into what happens in this book, it would spoil the jaw-dropping wft-ery of everything that unfolds as the plot becomes ever more twisty and complex, but I'm more than happy with the way the narrative concluded.

As for the epilogues, they were a perfect way to draw the reader in for where the story is going next and all I can say is bring it ladies! because I cannot wait.

#ARC kindly received from the authors in return for an honest and unbiased review. Flailing, fangirling and general OMG-ing is all my own work.

What an unexpected ride.

By the end of Gray's Shadow I didn't know what to expect for the last book and ending of this series.
There were so many questions and to be honest, I didn't even know what was Ba'als purpose so I was so curious about this book, it had too much pressure to deliver answers and a satisfying conclusion and you know what?
They did it, Kat and Agnes gave us everything.

Every question I had from how every started to what was the purpose was answered.

But you know what my favorite part of this book was? The punch in the face of what this series was about.
Yes, the Kings of Hell and mostly, our precious boy Laurent.
But not really?
To me at least, this story was about Jasper.
Jasper who when I first met thought would be killed soon or end up being a bad guy.
Jasper who learned so much from meeting these men.
And Jasper who gave us a spin-off *wink wink*

I cannot stress enough how good this book is, how Kat and Agnes set this story with so many things happening and they all had purpose.

There was a really good development between Laurent and Beast's relationship, they are no longer the confused character we met 4 books ago, they needed to mature as individuals and as a married couple, which can be difficult when you are not on the same page in life but they managed.

I loved the way K.A portrayed some of Laurent's beliefs due to the fact that he is not from this time and people schooling him! Like yeah no bunny, we love you but don't say offensive nonsense.

Seeing Laurent learning about the dangers of plastic and deciding that maybe his affair needed to end was character development right there xD

One of my favorite things to read was Gray and Shadow just being together, too cute.
I also deeply appreciated were this book started as it really gave us more insight on what was happening at the end of book 4.

Knight, oh my boy, I have to confess that although I love him he is not one of my favorites so I just didn't really think of what this book might have in store for him but this man, holy shit! He is a dick and goof but has a huge heart and can even be wise.
I really hope we get to see more of him and Elliot in the spin off.

Even though there is a spin off and you do have questions by the end of the book, these are more of a fan wanting more and not getting enough. The series is over and complete and what satisfying end did it had.
We got our happy and epilogue and our boys are safe now.. right?

I am so grateful to Kat and Agnes for delivering this series packed with craziness, hotness but so much heart.
In the end, it was all about loving someone more than yourself.

Hmm that is a hard one - Honestly I wanted to quit this book a few times because of all the drama between Beast and Laurent it was just annoying... But I kept going because I wanted to get to the great finale (which never came)
In the end the author took the easy way out in my opinion because every reader knew it would be unrealistic if all of them survived. So she killed off the character which never had much of a story for himself but was in all the books. The whole scene where Joker kills the mole is stupid - why should he just kill her?? Its his best friend sister! Nope just nope.
So now we get the seven deadly sons - I don‘t know how I feel about ...

The epic 73 hour audiobook is over. When rating I took into account my dislike for the tropes I knew would be featured in this book.

As a book this was 3/5 because I love to feel when reading. I did feel a lot of irritation and bewilderment. It was very funny at times.
As a romance it was 1/5. Just no.
My enjoymeny? 2/5. I finished it but didn’t like the journey.

Sorry Merikan duo, but this was a mess. Laurent’s choices did not make sense. The conclusion of their arc was not in proportion to their conflict. And setting up the spinoff took too many pages (minutes?). I would have liked to spend more time with the established couples.

Last book of the Kings of Hell MC and it was... something.

I didn't like a lot of things about this series but the supernatural and dark aspects were what I enjoyed the most and they were lacking a bit here in my opinion.

In the arms of Beast shows why Laurent had a "fancy egg" by the end of Gray's book, and let me tell you, I wasn't expecting THAT reason.

Laurent and Beast are too different and they still need to grow a lot as a couple. Their fights were often very frustrating and childish. And it took a while for them to stop being stubborn.

Gray and Shadow were perfect, bless them, also Elliot and Knight, they are the best match of them all. Vars and Jake are... well Vars and Jake.

I learned how to like Magpie because he made me laugh out loud except the reason why he was so funny was also the reason this book felt very "out of context" in my opinion. It wasn't "dark" and "fucked up" like before, it was just ????. It felt like a romcom many times and I didn't like this at all.

The whole conclusion was okay but the epilogues following every couple opened the door for a spin off series and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
This was very different from what I usually read but I actually liked knowing most of these characters!

I'll be in the minority here but Laurent and Beast are NOT a favorite of mine.

I enjoyed the book because I really loved the story and the conclusion we have here.
But this couple, I find very boring. Laurent is a brat and a very selfish one. Beast is okay but I just couldn't feel the connection between the 2 even less than in book 1.
And let just say... The baby thing was a bit too much for me. Not a fan of that.
Except of course, for the fact that this world building will continue in the spin-off and that... I'm very excited about!!

Shadow and Gray are still my very favorite here. I LOVE them and I loved these 4 epilogues with all of them...

Can't wait for the seven sons book!!

This book was a roller coaster from the beginning to the very end and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I can't say I enjoyed every moment of it because Laurent tested my patience severely in this. I kept wondering how he went from being so sweet and funny in his book to the prideful, obstinate, selfish and self righteous person in the subsequent books. It boggled my mind. However, he managed to redeem himself so all was well for me.

As I said, this book was so good that there is NO WAY you could predict the ending. It was very fitting, yet so sad at the same time. And the way the ending was dovetailed into the epilogues (yes epilogues) was just a fantastic set up for the spinoff series.

You can bet your asses that I will definitely be reading all those books as soon as they are published! I'm so excited!

Squee in delight for the final book of Kings of Hell MC. This series is absolutely amazing and I love all the couples. I can't even choose a favorite because every time I read the next book, the couple became my new favorite.

Going in to this finale, I was expecting to be full of mayhem and action, so I was actually surprised that the plot isn't as jam pack with action and violence. We get some lovely down time between Laurent and Beast in the beginning and witnessing how their relationship developed over time and the challenges they face as a married couple. With Laurent making a special demand that totally threw me off and cause much frustration to Beast, the minor angst was delicious. I like reading couple problems instead of a smooth sailing relationship. There are some surprised thrown in and a certain character start to endear to me so much, but I don't want to spoil anything!

I was full of anxiety before I started on this and suffice to say, my worry was for naught. The authors really did all the character justice and didn't left out anyone. I'm pleased to say I love how things ended and the way the epilogue was plot out.

Beast and Laurent

I love Laurent and Beast and in this one they seem to be going through relationship problems while trying to save the world. No biggie, right? Lol
I have to say when it comes to certain problems they have I am all team Beast. Laurent seems to make major life choices without even consulting his husband and he expects his husband to just accept them. I was not feeling that behavior at all. However, these two love one another and they work it by talking it all out. Communication is awesome right?
As to the end of the world issue I do like the way Magpie stepped up. It was unfortunate there was casualties along the way.
Finally, the multiple epilogues. I understand with the authors were trying to do but it doesn't mean I liked it. If your going to take the time to write the epilogues with each couple then give me the couples. Focus on them not the kids.

Can’t believe it’s over...well for now anyway. *wink wink*.

This series has been such amazing fun and so enjoyable it’s sad to see it end. But it goes out with a bang in a finale that’s dosed in so much Merikan magic it’s full-tilt epic right up to the end. No kidding, this could be a movie. This should be a movie.

But as much as I love the Kings of Hell, the standout character arc here has to be Magpie. No spoilers but he turned out to be so much more than I’d believed. And the dynamics, the way it ended..was...yeah. So unexpected and so good.

And the epilogues. Wow. What more could you ask for. They wrapped it all up on a silver platter...and are all about giving us seconds.

Can’t freaking wait.

1.5 Beast and Laurent are terrible, and terrible for each other.
Only this up because I heard there were epilogues for the the other couples at the end but they were extremely short and so not worth it :’) I just wanted more Grey and Shadow

What the heck.
WHAT THE HECK I JUST READ.
This is the WORST book in this series. Honestly, it was so bad, I was so close to DNF.
I loved Laurent in book one. He was so sweet. I didn't really like him in book four. And in this book I couldn't stand him.
I know he is young. I know that he still has a mindset from 1800s. I know that he is still learning.
But he made such a HUGE decision without consulting Beast and for me it's a big NO.
This book also proved that Laurent and Beast have the worst relationship. Yeah, they are trying, sometimes, but still. I didn't like it at all.
The other thing is the plot. It's the last book in the series, and it was... Boring. It focused on their relationship drama.
The ending was boring as well, but well, at least Joker is dead, and I hated him the most.
The epliogues were meh as well.
The only thing I liked was Gray and Shadow moving out.
I am not going to read the spin off and I am never going to read anything else written by these authors. I have learnt my lesson.
Plus, this book really needs a better proof reader.

The last book to this series and I enjoyed it.

The guys are finally going against Baal.

They finally want to put a stop to him once and for all. Throughout the book they try different things to weaken Baal but there is a traitor amongst them.

Laurent and Beast take a decision early on the book, which I didn’t like because it happened too fast and Beast didn’t have a choice. I didn’t really like that. It put me off a bit. Then the rest of the story they are angry at each other and this dragged on a lot. Laurent really got on my nerves lol, was he like that in the first book? I'll probably need to do a re-read! :)

It dragged a lot and I was excited to see how the ending would be but…unfortunately it was anticlimactic. Not what I was expecting at all. The guys went through so much just to be so simple.

Anyways! I liked it, it kept me interested and I can’t wait for more! ;)

For the last book of this series, we go back to the first couple, Beast & Laurent, now “happily” married.

Laurent keep making decisions on his own, without consulting Beast first, he is quite selfish. What the hell was that “demonic” baby coming out of an egg, created by blood? This was not a direction I was seeing this series going toward too and I did not like it at all. Way too much baby stuff.

Laurent, who I adored in the first book have become insufferable, overconfident & reckless. There was way too much relationship drama because of miscommunication.

Oh, and the end of the world was apparently coming soon with Baal the demon threating them, but it was so much put on the side that I didn’t feel any danger or so ever.

I do not think I will read “Seven Deadly Son” when this is come out. I am disappointed with the ending on this series.

Terrible

This book has many flaws and none of them have to do with the writing. The writers did an amazing job creating a cast that the readers will just love to hate. And I truly do hate them. Gray and Shadow along with Vars and Jake are the only couples in this book worth reading about. The rest of them are immature, annoying, entitled, self-centered, hypocritial little beasties. With the main culprits being the first couple, Beast and Laurent, both of whom go out of there way to lets others know just how unworthy they are in their eyes and that they are the only ones who can do no wrong. I read this book enraged by nearly every actions both laurent and beast make. By the end of the book I was just hoping for one of them to get hurt or die I hated them so much. Still, I am looking forward to the next books. Seven deadly sins here we come!

It’s the end of an era ... with a new one evolving ❤️ I really enjoyed this series and loved having time back with Laurent & Beast. This book really ties up the theory behind Baal and leads into the next series with 7 sons !! Magpie became a bit of a favorite, somewhere along the line I hope he can make a reappearance. It was great to see how the couples had developed over time ... no doubt they’ll pop in to support the boys in the spin off 😎

I elect not to rate this one. It is either an epic disaster of a book that has led me to despise all characters and possibly the authors or, alternatively, it is a fascinating commentary on marriage, parenting, gender roles, and gender performance for which the authors should be commended.

I look forward to Jasper's book. Gimme.

Like everything in life, even beautiful things come to an end, but even knowing it does not make it any less sad.
The journey that Kat and Agnes have made us live through this story and these characters is one of the most beautiful I've ever done, and for this I will never stop thanking them.
Few authors, at least for me, have the ability to make me care about their characters even after finishing a book.
With Laurent, Beast and all the others of the series "Kings of Hell MC" this happened, even after the final I find myself wondering how are they doing now, and I find it a wonderful thing, because it means that they mean a lot to me.
After finishing the book, I realized that it is an end, but that gives life to a new beginning, another reason why the sadness that I felt before reading it has faded a little.
The protagonists are again our beloved Laurent and Beast, who even if recently married, have no time to enjoy what should be the most important moment for a new couple, and this will not help creating tension between the two, but it will not be only this, even a crucial decision, taken in a hurry and without the right weighting, will lead the couple to falter.
These situations usually end in only two ways, either they destroy a couple or make their bond even stronger and more indissoluble, you can imagine in this case what the answer is.
With the end of the world so near, at the hands of Baal, we also find the rest of the team intent on finding a way to save the rest of humanity, with the help of another demon, Mr. Magpie, who in this part of the history has managed to surprise me and make a breach in my heart, a character not too relevant (at least for me) in previous volumes, this time has managed to give me funny and hilarious moments, but also moments full of feelings and emotional charge.
His character is really the great discovery for me in this book, definitely a beautiful discovery.
Another beautiful thing is what will come after the end of this story, which is what I mentioned at the beginning, the "new beginning", which has all the conditions to be something great and original, and I can't wait to start this new journey.

I’m utterly devastated by this book, and not in a good way. While in some ways it was good, it was completely inconsistent with all the previous books of the series. For the most part this reads like a somewhat dramatic New Adult RomCom.

With the exception of the epilogues - this was from Beast & Laurent’s perspectives. Most of the dark and twisted was replaced with sophomoric jokes and insufferable immaturity by Laurent and sometimes Beast. While I get that Laurent is still acclimating to current times and a relationship - his behavior is the antithesis of what he demanded from Beast. He dismissed his partner’s wishes, feelings, and needs at every turn with unending petulance. I get that one of Laurent’s choices was needed as catalyst for the ending, but the minutiae of that took up more than 1/2 the book.

The conclusion of the “Battle against Baal” was anticlimactic. Events happen that are never addressed & left hanging. The epilogues, in particular, felt like the authors were concentrating more on launching a new spin-off series than they were with satisfactorily ending this one.

Narration:
Joel Leslie was absolute perfection throughout this entire series. He didn’t get to show off his talents as much this time as Beast & Laurent took up almost all of the dialogue - but he was still flawless.

Wow, my mind is still reeling from the ending! Laurent and Beast had their share of the back and forth power play during the book but Laurent came around and swallowed his pride when he realized they were running out of time to be together before the world came to an end. Magpie performed a favor for Laurent and Beast and afterwards he just made himself at home at wouldn't leave. I've had my reservations regarding Magpie from the beginning but he truly showed his true colors during this book.
I have to say I was SHOCKED 😱 at some of the things that happened in the last chapter and during one scene I was ugly crying😭 because bravery of one of characters.
I waited for the last audio to come out because I really enjoyed 🤩 the narrator Joel Leslie.

I absolutely loved this series! I also enjoyed the author fast forwarding at the end of the book for us, this will be on my shelve for re-reading/audio in the future.
