Another antagonist enters the arena!
The fight against Drakainis, Schneid, and the Oroth Empire continues. A battle ensues within the slipstream and an ambush is set on exit. Killer drones are there to try and take over the AIs that control the ships. They manage to escape the swarm of drones and reach another system seeing another battle from allies in which they do not initially intervene until they have managed to liase with the main fleet. They then return to see if they can help their allies where they meet another group, supposedly working for Schneid, but with their own agenda.... The group is led by two brothers who are creating their own clones and attempt to shield themselves from Drakainis. The scientist brother, Roos makes an uneasy alliance with the reaper after a number of twists and turns to defeat the Drakainis....
An entertaining tale that re-introduces a new species of intelligent wildlife that the Reaper had met before.... There are several battles, making it thrilling, but the introduction of a new antagonist in the 2nd to last book (unless plans have changed) is a bit unusual....

More world's
If you have been reading this series from the beginning you know what to expect and you won't be disapointed. More action as Halek Cain, General Elise and all their friends keep fighting for the human race. We learn some interesting things about Tank and his X95.
Never a dull moment as the adventure continues. With the title 'Fall of the Reaper' I have to admit I was waiting for the worst! Looking forward to the next book.

Finally
Finally the authors finally get to a climatic battle with one of the main antagonists. That is probably the only positive thing this book had o offer. It seems th authors felt the need to to overpopulate the book with needless puff and attempted humor by Cain about cigars and whiskey If you are this far into the series: you have to soldier on bite the bullet and read the next and hopefully the last book in the series!

Good Read
I really enjoy this series! You have an elite assassin with a conscious who puts his life on the line to help his friends and those who are oppressed! Then the rest of the day he is kicking alien butt or thinning out the brotherhood of bad guys.
