Since the early ‘90s, Supreme has always been a platform for the greatest artists to show off their greatest work. From Peter Saville to Brian Donnelly (also known as Kaws), the New York City-based label has featured some of the world’s most famous creatives across their seasonal collections. But, out of all of the big names, Supreme's relationship with Rammellzee will always be their most memorable, and the upcoming Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Rammellzee’ pays tribute to the late visual artist's life and legacy.

Working on top of a creamy canvas base, this layer is completely covered in Rammellzee's signature gothic futuristic style. Abstract icons and symbols feature throughout, and these multicoloured motifs are contrasted by black suede overlays that take over the toebox, lacing system, and Nike Swoosh.

Underfoot, the Zoom Air midsole has been dipped completely in black, and it's equipped with a gum rubber outsole for added grip and traction while on the halfpipe (because at the of the day, this is a skate shoe). The trainer is then finished off with metallic gold dubraes and an exclusive hangtag that's destined for a hypebeast's keychain.

Rammellzee, whose birth name has never actually been disclosed, was a fan of Supreme's since the first store opened in Lower Manhattan. Known for his elaborate sculptures, masks, and “graffiti writer” aesthetic, he hand painted an exclusive range of baseball caps to celebrate the opening of the streetwear imprint's first space.

In 2004, he released a collection of backpacks for his first Supreme collab, and while he very sadly passed away six years later, he always showed love for James Jebbia and his brand. This SB Dunk celebrates 30 years since Rammellzee and Supreme started working together, and is a major drop, especially for fans of the late artist's work.
