Kim Kardashian Is Ethereal in a See-Through Top and Miniskirt Made Entirely Out of Crystals

Kim Kardashian is officially in her bejeweled era.

Yesterday, the mogul teamed up with Swarovski's creative director Giovanna Engelbert to celebrate the launch of a collaboration between her shapewear line Skims and the luxe jeweler by unveiling a flagship store in New York City.

Naturally, Kardashian showed up to the glitzy event entirely decked out in Swarovski crystals. (Cue Rihanna’s viral “They’re covered in Swarovski crystals, girl!” moment.)

The mom of four wore an ethereal set made out of sparkling crystals strung together to form the silhouette of two garments: a cropped sleeveless turtleneck, with chains and crystal pendants stretched across the backless feature, and a miniskirt. Both pieces included big, see-through holes between the crystals, but Kardashian kept the look relatively modest by layering a pair of the now sold-out Swarovski x Skims ribbed boxer shorts underneath.

Kardashian kept the rest of her outfit fairly simple, letting the crystals do most of the talking. She finished off the look simply with silver metallic heels with clear PVC straps by Paris Texas and a single silver chain anklet.

Kardashian opened up about partnering with Swarovski in an interview with Bazaar. “The collection is meant to be versatile, and there are pieces for any preference or occasion,” she said. “The collaboration can be styled in multiple ways for every body, which is what Skims is all about.”

She explained that she has a long history of using Swarovski crystals to add some glimmer into her life. “I’ve had the figurines forever and would put the crystals on my laptops and cell phones. The sparkle and glamour of Swarovski’s crystals is so fun to me,” she said, adding that she hopes the new collection will similarly bring “joy and glamour” to the world.
