Get ready to see a lot more Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen on Nickelodeon.
The network has acquired four series, seven TV movies and two music video specials from the actresses’ library, the company announced Thursday.
Spanning nearly a decade, the catalog includes popular films like Winning London, Holiday in the Sun and When in Rome as well as their animated series Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action! Their short-lived Fox Family sitcom So Little Time will air weeknights at 7 p.m. beginning Monday, April 27. Other titles will continue to roll out across Nickelodeon’s various brands later this year.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen’s video library to Nickelodeon,” said Keith Dawkins, senior vp and general manager, Nicktoons, TeenNick and Nick Jr. “The timeless content and style, relatable sibling dynamics and overall appeal of Mary-Kate and Ashley make this a great addition to Nick’s platforms.”
Nickelodeon is already home to repeats of the Olsen twins’ breakthrough comedy Full House, which has been in the news this week following the announcement of Netflix’s upcoming revival series. Scheduled to premiere in 2016, Fuller House will center on D.J. (Candace Cameron-Bure), a newly widowed mother of two raising her children alongside her best friend and fellow single mom Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Jodie Sweetin will also star, and John Stamos will produce and guest star. Talks with the rest of the cast, including the Olsens, are underway.
Mary-Kate Olsen is repped by UTA and Thruline Entertainment. Ashley Olsen is repped by UTA.
