Remember that campaign, Got Milk?

It's one of those campaigns that sticks with you- because it's so simple and good.

Let's break it down:

What were they selling?

Well .... milk. but not really, what they were selling was "a new way to be healthy", something that you have to have...  if you want to be "seen as a 'smart' person doing the 'right' things for yourself and your family."

So what was the Dairy Farmer's Association selling?  The belief that with milk, you get to be a smart, healthy person making the right choices for yourself and your family.  You are then " a step above average," all by just drinking milk.

All sales is, at the core, is how you convey belief.

The belief that your buyer wants.

That's all I ever sell, is belief and confidence.

The reason you're not getting your work sold?  The sale isn't clear.  When you get to the underlying motivator in your buyer- then you unlock that secret sauce of top sales pro's and deal makers.

Understand the belief that you're giving, that's the first step.
