Popis: Take one fresh seal skin. It's getting pretty scary already, but don't worry, it will get worse. Hold on! Alka is a bird that doesn't fly very well. The Inuit learnt that up to 500 of them can fit into one skin. The birds can be loaded into the seal skin bag which is stitched up to prevent air escaping. Seal oil is used to close the seams. Put a big stone on the bag (to prevent air access) and let it ripen for a few months. To know if your kiviaq is ready, a good indicator is the "scent". It should linger in the nose. The taste should be like a very well-matured gorgonzola cheese. That's why the Kiviaq's outfit embodies the appearance of a decent education.
