She may be known for her appearances in Hollywood movies, but Sandra Bullock's life has not been an easy one, with so many dramatic and tragic stories of her own.
The latest has involved the passing away of her partner, Bryan Randall, after a three-year struggle with ALS.
"It is with great sadness that we share that, on August 5, Bryan Randall passed away peacefully after a three-year battle with ALS," a statement from his family said.
"Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honour his request."
This is not the first time she has faced tragedy, from surviving a plane crash in 2000 to having a stalker break into her home and an unloyal husband.
Sandra Bullock's stalking incident
In 2014, Joshua Corbett, broke into Bullock's home in Hollywood and she was forced to call 911 to report the intruder.
"I'm in my closet, I have a safe door, I'm locked in the closet right now," she said in a recording of the 911 call.
Corbett was sentenced to five years probation, made to seek treatment at a mental health facility and given a restraining order for 10 years in 2017, but killed himself in 2018.
"I wasn't the same after that, I was unravelling," Bullock said, speaking to Willow Smith, Jada Smith and Adrienne Banfield-Norris on Red Table Talk.
"I haven't been alone since the day it happened."
Sandra Bullock's ex-husband's affair
Bullock was married to West Coast Choppers founder Jesse James and went through an intense custody battle for his daughter.
Plus, James went on to cheat on Bullock, with several woman claiming to have slept with him in 2010.
"I did cheat on my wife, yeah, I stood up and took accountability for it and apologized and that's the end of story," James later told the Daily Mail.
