Ícaro Lira is a visual artist and researcher whose work focuses on contested acts of Brazilian history through an approach that encompasses fiction, documentary, archival and archeological work. His exhibitions present structures that recall ‘museums’, reuniting forgotten fragments to produce an affective composition: objects both common and distinct, sets of actions, the whole scattered in texts, debates, walks etc.
