STATEN ISLAND, NY -- Towering over Nunzio’s pizzeria, resembling a giant stack of familiar primary-colored Lego bricks, one Grant City commercial construction project is drawing a lot of attention from borough residents and Hylan Boulevard commuters alike. But what exactly is rising on this smallish Midland Avenue lot and what will the uniquely sided two-story structure house? Dr. Michel Cohen, an esteemed NYC pediatrician, recently solved the mystery.

“I’ve been working on this for three years, so I guess I’m glad the secret is out,” Dr. Cohen said during a recent phone interview after the Advance/SILive identified him as owner of the property in NYC Department of Buildings records. “We’re extremely excited to bring our pediatric practice to the borough, and since it is our first location on Staten Island, we wanted to create a very special and unique space that was exciting for children to visit.”
