Sure, the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra featured $3 million dollars worth of jewels, but that hefty price tag is something we have come to expect from the famed piece of lingerie. This year, though, a close second to the show's centerpiece came from none other than Lady Gaga. She wore a $1 million dollar hat that took more than 300 hours to create. Woah.
During the 'Dark Angel' portion of Wednesday afternoon's Paris show, Gaga was a dark angel herself in a strapless sequin jumpsuit, platform ankle booties that are surely taller than any we've ever seen — Marc Jacobs runway included — and THE hat to end all hats.
The hat was from Gladys Tamez Millinery, the same designer of the pink hat that Gaga wears on the cover of her new album, Joanne. But, when it comes to the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, Gaga pulled out all the stops. Embellished with 45,700 Swarovski crystals, her hat nearly put Josephine Skriver's embellished look to shame. Almost. It did, however, feature ankle-length fringe that mirrored Skriver's runway creation.
Could it be that Gaga is bringing back the hat? If so, we’re definitely on board for, you know, more affordable options.
