The star is giving fans a peek at what went down behind the scenes during her eventful weekend as Saturday Night Live’s latest musical guest, including an exclusive look at her derriere for the show, which featured a very on-brand message.
ICYMI: during the night, Rodrigo performed “all-American bitch,” the fan-favorite track off her acclaimed sophomore album GUTS, in a tea-party setting clad in a button-up mini dress with a Peter Pan collar and pleated mini skirt detailings. (Very Dolores Umbridge of her, we might say.) As expected, Rodrigo modernized the look, which was custom by by Hill House Home, by adding a pair of knee-high white socks and her trusty pair of classic Dr. Martens boots.
The most fun part of the ‘fit, however, did not make it to our screens, but fret not because Rodrigo made sure everyone could appreciate her attention to detail on social media. After her performance aired, Olivia Rodrigo gave fans a peek at the underwear she rocked for the SNL performance with a cheeky Instagram story.
In the slide, the artist can be seen lifting up the back of her pink skirt, revealing her custom pink-and-white gingham mini bloomers, also custom Hill House Home, with a very special message embroidered in red thread: all-American bitch, perfectly stylized in lowercase to match the album's official title. (Why wear your heart on your sleeve when you can wear it on your butt, right?)
