Alexander Skarsgård has a shocking new haircut and the Internet can't handle it

R.I.P. to Alexander Skarsgård's hair.

The Big Little Lies actor debuted a bald bold new look on the red carpet Thursday, and no one is sure how to feel about it.

The 41-year-old Swedish actor was almost unrecognizable without his usual full head of hair at the Volez, Voguez, Voyagez Louis Vuitton exhibition event in New York. He shaved the top of his head and down the middle, with hair only left on the sides.

He could be channeling his inner Prince William, but odds are the new 'do is related to his work on The Hummingbird Project. The film, which also stars Jesse Eisenberg and Salma Hayek, centers on cousins who work in the intense world of high-frequency trading. 

The haircut is a drastic difference from his mid-length locks in 2016's The Legend of Tarzan.

Though Skarsgard hasn't commented publicly about his new look, Twitter has a lot to say about the freshly bald style.
