Debby Ryan and Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots are engaged! See the photos

NEW YORK – Actress Debby Ryan and Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun are engaged.

Both Ryan and Dun announced their engagement on social media Saturday. Dun, 30, proposed to Ryan, 25, in a treehouse in New Zealand. Dun posted a photo on Instagram of himself proposing on one knee before a shocked, weeping Ryan. He called her his "dude for life."

In the photos, Ryan, star of the Netflix series "Insatiable," shows off a large diamond ring. Both wore black – she's in a black floral dress, while he's casually dressed in all-black – for the occasion.

"I said yes!" Ryan tweeted, adding, "Well technically said 'no way' twice but I meant yes."

In August, the Sydney Morning Herald described their relationship as on-again, off-again in an interview with Ryan.

"I'm in love and very happy," she told the news outlet. "We've evolved and grown so much in our careers, in the relationship, as people since we first met. It's cool and special to have that support system and we are each other's biggest fans.

"He visited me every month in Atlanta with our puppy while I was making the show."
