Pro-Trump star Kristy Swanson: Dean Cain and I got 'death threats' over play

Actress Kristy Swanson arrives to the 11th annual PRISM Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel April 24, 2007 in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Kristy Swanson says she's receiving death threats over a Trump-focused production she's taking part in.

Directed by conservative filmmaker Phelim McAleer, the production, titled “FBI Lovebirds: Undercovers,” is based on text messages recovered by the FBI last year from former Trump-Russia investigators Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Politico reports.

In a series of tweets Wednesday, the actress shared a screenshot of someone's suggestion to "set the theater on fire."

"Death Threat," she tweeted along with the image. "Please Report."

She added, "It is a death threat on @RealDeanCain and me, an entire theater production, and an entire theater full of people. Needs to be reported."

Swanson shared the link to the outlet's story. "The threat was in reference to this article about a Play at a Theater in DC," she said.

Swanson is set to play Page and Dean Cain is set to play Strzok, according to the news outlet. Both actors are vocally conservative.

Earlier this month, Cain, who is known to be pro-Trump, called the protests against Georgia's "heartbeat bill" an "absolute joke."

In January, Swanson, who has said she's been "#MAGA since 1969," got into a feud with Kathy Griffin over Trump's proposed border wall, saying "We need a secure WALL, technology, boots, drones & more, we need it ALL."

In a follow-up tweet, Swanson said the threatening tweet about the production had been removed.

"So it looks like this death threat was taken down, that is a good thing. But the person who posted the Threat... has NOT been banned," she added.

Swanson is best known for her role in the 1992 film "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Cain is best known for his role in the TV series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman."
