Whilst innocently perusing the latest snaps from the House of Gucci press tour, more than one member of the British Vogue beauty team found themselves doing a double take at a haircut that shone brighter than the rest.
No, not Lady Gaga’s platinum lengths. It’s Jared Leto, who plays Paolo Gucci in the biopic, who has been hitting the red carpet with hair to die for. In the year in which everyone got a bob, Jared has cultivated a slightly longer style (a lob, you might say), that just about grazes his shoulders. It is shiny and healthy; it isn’t frizzy; and it’s perfectly tousled. All key elements of a truly great bob.
“Jared Leto is my new hair icon,” Vogue’s European beauty and lifestyle director, Jessica Diner, wrote in the beauty team WhatsApp group. “I am obsessed, and I need to do my hair like this.” What followed was a conversation that can only be described as a hair love-in – and a debate around exactly what the 49-year-old actor has been doing to achieve this enviable mane.
The jury is still out on that – although good genes no doubt play their part – but the team has taken the liberty of compiling some pictures of Leto’s hair looking excellent, for your next trip to the salon. Enjoy.
