Speaking of Thanksgiving, Chris Ware (creator of the brilliant Acme Novelty Library) did all four of this weeks Thanksgiving-themed covers for the New Yorker. Ware is one of my favorite artists — his work is the wry, surreal satire of the anachronistic unipolar depressive: desperately funny, profoundly sad and nightmarish all at once. I'm always happy to see people giving him the sacks of money he deserves.
The New Yorker's site also has a great audio interview with him, if you're interested in listening to it. He sounds exactly like I expected him to: funny, awkward, self-deprecating and rambling.
