Love the small herringbone pattern (I bought the gray color). You should know that the top lid is attached to the back of the box so it flips open. There are built in “sides” to the lid that nestle over the top of the box easily. It does not have the black edging as shown in the picture, but I prefer it. I’m glad it has a lid to keep dust out. The 15.75” is the length of the box (front to back). The height and width of the front are both between 11-12”. I took these measurements after assembling them. They are simple to assemble and have a firm insert for the bottom to add support and help keep the shape of the box. It has a pull tab to take it out easily, if needed. I’m so happy with the quality and the look, I bought more!

Heck of a nice box, surprisingly well made and not a lot of money. I bought it for my wife, but really for me. She keeps her 4 or 5 evening snacks (bags) on the table in front of our couch, which really irritates me. Now she keeps all her goodies in this box, out of sight, which she keeps on the shelf under the end table next to her recliner. When she wants her bag of Cheetos or whatever, she slides the box out, lifts the lid and voila! Now we're both happy!!

I chose these due to needing something similar and this was all I could find.
The size and concept is great but the plastic is not great. It is more of a matte dark grey/almost black color. I ordered two and on the top of the box's lid was like some kind of stain/ring in the plastic- not something that can be removed. These are like factory seconds. I paid around ten buck each but they aren't worth that in my opinion their only worth about four bucks each.

It's hard to find something this size with a lid for this price! This fits perfectly in my sons closet to store his socks and underwears. I would recommend it to anyone looking storage.
