I stock up on another 7-10 of these every time I go to Home Depot. The price has gone up from 1.18$ to something like 1.80$ per box, but they've proven to be a reliable standard over the years; the new ones stay compatible with the old lids, etc.

The size is large enough to store most of my small tools and supplies. I have shelves packed with these, and I'll grab up a bunch of them and cram them in my car when I'm off to visit relations for a few weeks and want to have my soldering kit with me, or whatever.

For slightly larger items, it would be nice if there was a twice-as-large box that was compatible with these, e.g. fitting in exactly twice the space and fitting two of these on top. Sterilite sells similar boxes that are approximately that size but as far as I'm aware, none that are as I describe. A missed opportunity for composition, if you ask me, especially since they sell other lines of plastic tubs that *do* follow such a system.

Notably, these don't fit with the slightly crappier Sterilite 6-quart bins that you can find in bulk at Wal-Mart. "If it's round, set it on the ground" (at the store, without buying it), I say. Home Depot is a reliable place to find the good, more rectangular ones, and I sometimes find them for about the same price (usually less than 2$) other places, like Woodman's (the world's best grocery store).

This has come in quite handy to store dvds that we have without taking up a bunch of space on ur shelves and it fits perfectly under the bed.It keeps the dust and dirt off, but the lid doesn’t quite fit on there, only because tie dvd cases are a little taller. For smaller items, like our gaming system, this has been great and keeps everything neat and out of the way. On that box, the lid clicks in place just right and stays put until its next use. If you store it in your closet, it stacks well, as the lid indentation helps hold it in place as long as it is on securely and not lopsided. These are reasonably priced and work great for us, plus, the transparent plastic is fairly easy to see through so you know ow what’s in the box.

I love shoes! I needed to find a way to organize them so that they're easy to find, and this was the perfect solution. I can see just what shoe I'm needing and can easily stack them away. I can also arrange them by color and style with using my clear storage tote system. What a great product that is oh, so affordable! I definitely hit the "#sweepstake" with choosing this one. Glad to see them re-stocked in time for Spring organizing.

The tote box itself is find.

But, they put a sticker on the box that is nearly impossible to remove. I've found that heating the sticker up with a hair dryer greatly helps to remove it, but the buyer shouldn't have to do that.

The tote also has a shoplifting device "hidden" by the sticker. But, if you look at the back side of the sticker, it's clearly visible. Perhaps this is the reason that it's too darn hard to remove the label.
