NYC’s Best Burgers - Nowon
Named as one of the best burgers in NYC by Infatuation, Eater, and Time Out - this place has risen to fame quickly since it opened 4 years ago. They are known for their “Legendary Burger”, and it’s legendary for a reason! It’s double-stacked, topped with their extraordinary kimchi sauce, roasted kimchi, cheese, pickles, and onions. I went with some friends so I had the chance to try out some other items!
Food review:
1. Legendary burger: Undoubtedly the best thing I’ve eaten here. The burger is juicy and it’s refreshing to see Asian flavors being incorporated into it.
2. Jae’s chicken bun: Perfectly fried chicken thigh stacked between soy pickled jalapeño, farm, peanut, cabbage, and sesame mayo. A great option for anyone who’s not feeling beef.
3. Nowon fried chicken (soy garlic): One of the crispiest fried chicken I’ve had! You can pick between 2 sauces, soy garlic and gochujang.
4. Extraordinary tots (curry spiced): This is the only thing I ordered that was disappointing. Honestly tasted to tots that you buy frozen and I couldn’t really taste the curry flavor.
Overall a really amazing restaurant that I know I’ll come back to!
