15 Insanely International Burgers from Hard Rock Cafe's "World Burger Tour"

You might not know this, but Hard Rock Cafe has a host of international locations, each with its own crazily local burger made from regional fare (dates & cream cheese? Yeah brother). Before now, Hard Rock Cafe never offered these sandwiches here in the US, which sucked. But now you can gorge on international flavors galore thanks to the World Burger Tour, bringing select international burgers right here to the US. Check the list below or click on your favorite country up there to find out what they're bringing to the table. After taking a global voyage in mouth-watering local fare, you can find more burgers and videos from the tour here.

And if you want to see one Thrillist editor demolish nearly 40 of these creations over four days, six cities, and five states, we've got the story just for you.

Haggis Burger

1. Haggis Burger

It wouldn't be from Scotland if it didn't feature haggis. This sandwich, straight from Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh, really is topped with the stuff, plus melted Monterey Jack cheese, turnips, and a whisky maple glaze (because it also wouldn't be from Scotland if it didn't also include whisky).

Cuban Burger

2. Cuban Burger

Uh, a burger topped with marinated pulled pork, melted Swiss cheese, and sweet plantains? Sí, por favor y gracias Hard Rock Cafe Miami.

Chamorro Burger

3. Chamorro Spicy Cheese Burger

A special local glaze courtesy of this burger's Pacific Island roots, coming via Hard Rock Cafe Guam, plus a chili paste and spicy Pepper Jack cheese make this a burger worth savoring... or inhaling as quickly as possible.

Date Burger

4. Date Burger

Yep, the United Arab Emirates has a Hard Rock Cafe (in Dubai of course), and they're putting down a burger with date chutney, diced fresh dates, and cream cheese. That's some seriously interesting flavor combos.

Java Lava Burger

5. Java Lava Burger

America's very own Seattle rendition comes with (what else) a house-made espresso rub, crunchy java onions, bacon, melted Tillamook Cheddar cheese, a fiery sauce to finish and -- just in case it wasn't hot enough -- a fried jalapeño for a garnish.

Lancashire Hot Pot Burger

6. Lancashire Hot Pot Burger

Forgoing beef altogether, our friends from across the pond at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester bring a bomb lamb burger, broiled and topped with caramelized onions, crispy carrots, and a mint(!) mayonnaise.

Mango Mahi Burger

7. Mango Mahi Burger

Hey, Caribbean Islands are small, not a lot of room for cows. Which is why the Hard Rock Cafe in Aruba substitutes beef with Mahi Mahi, topped with a Caribbean-style mango salsa and citrus mayonnaise.

Marimba Burger

8. Marimba Burger

Guatemala definitely knows beef, and their patty slathered with a chipotle and jalapeño spiced layer of beans, fresh salsa, Monterey Jack cheese, Cheddar cheese, and crispy tortilla straws delivers the savory.

Tandoori Spiced Chicken Burger

9. Tandoori Spiced Chicken Burger

The whole cows being sacred thing means the Indian Legendary from Mumbai gets extra creative with a seriously seasoned chicken patty, fresh herbs, a mint mayonnaise topping, and a fresh side of cucumber.

Schnitzel Burger

10. Schnitzel Burger

We can't believe anything hasn't been fried yet, either. Germany to the rescue with their 'wich from Cologne featuring tender breaded pork schnitzel made crispy to order, topped with crunchy sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard, and savory bacon.

Sweet & Sour Burger

11. Sweet & Sour Burger

A fried onion ring, bell peppers, and grilled pineapple drizzled with house-made sweet and sour sauce make this Chinese Legendary from Hong Kong highly eatable.

Andean Burger

12. The Andean Burger

Finally a fried egg! Plus tender avocado slices, melted cheddar cheese, and garlic mayonnaise. But fried egg! Thanks, Bolivia!

Aussie Burger

13. The Aussie Burger

Save the shrimp on the barbie jokes -- this (certified angus beef) patty from Sydney is draped with caramelized onions, a fried egg (again!), cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and beetroot.

Banh Mi Burger

14. Banh Mi Burger

A spicy, sweet glaze, pickled vegetables, and cucumbers accompanied by a garnish of cilantro and green onions make this Vietnamese sandwich Banh marvelous.

The Bosphorus Burger

15. The Bosphorus Burger

Turkey is bringing it with homemade eggplant salad, fresh haydari (a yogurt sauce), and pickle slices straight from Istanbul.
